  1. Thanks for that Andy, I'm not sure about the last service, will check that out when I go to test drive. According to the dealer it only has 13k on the clock, so by my reckoning it should have just had a service, is that right?
  2. Thanks for your replies, most helpful. I'm more worried about mechanical issues than MPG as I now only do roughly 70 miles per week. Is the boot issue difficult to fix? And does anybody have any idea how much it would cost to get fixed at a dealer? Also, as the car is not on sale at a dealership would it be worth my while putting it in a ford garage for a service and to get the software updated at the same time? Thanks for your help. :)
  3. Sorry, yes I meant the petrol model. Being the owner of a TDCi, I'm aware of the problems that the EGR valve can have, and have a nasty feeling that mine is starting which is another reason for changing car. I've opted for the petrol for two reasons mainly: 1: they cost less to buy 2: I've gone from doing 15k per year to about 5k. Thanks for your replies, much appreciated.
  4. Hello, I have a 03 plate TDCi focus at the moment which I love, however due to a new arrival in the family I'm thinking of moving to something bigger. I've seen an 04 plate 1.8 Zetec with only 13000 miles on the clock, it has no EPB :D and no EGR valve, so I'm not too worried about those problems. However, having spent the past few days reading conflicting stories regarding the C-Max, I am worried about the power loss issue. The three I've mentioned above seem to be the main ones, are there any more that I need to be aware of? Also what are peoples opinons? Does it sound like a good
