  1. Hi Chaps, thanks for you're replies, does seem a lot of people have had trouble with these engines. I guessed i could just use the original key and ECU, thanks for confirmin that. The Ford dealership had inspected the engine and did report engine wear had started from the depoisited fragments. Do i need to do anthing in particlar regarding airbag senser's etc. Also is priming the fuel system a problem?. I'm going to start the engine swop at the end of the wk. I have to get a customers car out, (a Cortina running a tuned small block Ford V8, :D ) then i crack on with my car.
  2. Hi chaps, my first post, so i hope i make sense. My 2004 2.0 ltr TDCI C-Max wtih 71,000 miles lost power. I took it to a ford main dealer, who diagnoised a blown turbo. This was then replaced, and within 10 miles the turbo failed again. The 2nd turbo was replaced and failed again within 400 miles. They put it down to parts of the original turbo ending up in the oil ways and causing oil starvation to the turbo itself. They have now told me that i need a new engine, but i can't afford that. So i have sourced a good used engine, turbo, ecu and key etc. I am going to swap the engine my
