Just took it out for a run and all trace of rust has gone - phew! Very odd though - I drove it yesterday for about the same length of time, so the rust must have sprung up overnight.

Blimey - speedy reply, thanks! I've had it for a couple of weeks now and driven it around a fair bit. Hopefully after a couple more weeks (and a few long journeys) it will all disappear.

Hi, Picked up my Focus (07 reg from Ford Direct) and have noticed some rust on the front disc brakes. It's not caked in the stuff, more of a speckled effect, but pretty worrying nevertheless! Is it normal to have a bit of rust on the brakes? Or is it something I should charge back to Ford and complain about? Any advice would be greatly appreciated!
