When i thought mine had gone,there was no change in engine speed when air con button was pressed .It was first thing i checked as we've a 16 year old MX5 that jumps from 1000 to 2000 revs when air con is turned on,Turn it on at the lights and everybody thinks youre up for a race. Anyway it turned out a pipe was broken and regassed FOC.Would like to know myself which pipe it is .Would ask garage but they probably couldn't point out the difference between their * * * * and their elbow ! Oh and i put the little valve cap back on the air con pipe for them after finding it laying in the front pa

Quick update,said it was small crack in a pipe .Changed for free under warranty, panic over.

Cheers guys, The 12 month warranty booklet says regas chargeable.But only having the car since Thursday night and other problem with this dealership i hope its done for free. Will also take a spoon down for the skilled technician and point out the fill line :wink:

Hi,first post, Picked up a 04 1.8 Zetec on Thursday(owned it a month but thats another story, eh Benfield).Anyway its been unusually warm for October in West Yorkshire so thought id give Air Con a go. Orange light comes on ,fans blow but it feels no different to without Air con button on. Service closed today will ring tommorow ,but in the meantime is there anything to check or look for.Something broken (warranty) or regas needed.Just ive had a problem with this reputable Ford garage and could they charge me. Done a search on here which was helpfull but thought id start a new topic just
