  1. Hi all this is Carol Dan's wife he has very kindly been posed abroad for xmas at the last minute, so I'm now left alone to deal with all the s**t ford are thowing at me. 3 days in and nobody within the Ford group can diagnose the fault (obviously we've been told lies). The dealer repairing the car do not have a courtesy one, so I called ford cust care they basically told me as the problem has not been found they will not give me a open ended hire car they will only provide a hire car once the problem has been found and they can start the repair. Then I called trading standards who said I
  2. My wife has just spoken to Trading standards and they advised we maybe able to get a part refund or exchange for a differant ford car due to loss of faith as it is a number of faults and safty is at stake. I'm going to phone the dealer we bought the car from (Ican see the steam returning) to see if I get any joy. :)
  3. Cheers for the advise my wife is now on there case a woman scorned and all that lol. She's already been on to the dealers telling them how incompitant they are ect ect. They have supposidly been working on the car for 2 days and still nobody can tell us exactly what is wrong and how long it'll take to repair (more like 2 minutes I think). With me and my wife on their backs hopefully we'll get some sort of result, after all the hassle we've had with the car (minor problems previously) neither of us want it back really. My wife is refusing point blankly to drive the thing ever again!!! I woul
  4. lol I think we have some spare bombs RAC will only provide a car for the first 24 hours if they can't get you home as they got me home then came out the following morning to take the car to Holiways they won't provide one. Dan
  5. Just spoke to dealer they have had to phone ford technical as they do not think just changing sensor ect will cure problem. It looks as though all the faults are due to something else causing them and no one seems to have a clue as to what this is. I've just been informed it doesn't look good for getting the car back this side of Christmas and there isn't a courtesy car available  Once again ford have shafted me as I will have to folk out a couple of hundred quid to get home for Christmas, I'm in the RAF and based 300 mile away from my parents and I don't fancy dragging the dog, wife
  6. hi cjd, it is back with the dealers and it's deffo not just the ecu playing up the throttle sensor has deffinately gone (MAP Sensor) along with the powertrain control module (don't have a clue what this is). The dealer also has a long list of faults from diognostics matching the RAC's. All is deffinately not well with my c-max :( and it's all fords fault for using us a guineapigs for the new foci
  7. Hi I used to be a member of this forum pre c-max i did have a focus zetec 1.8 but some truck thought it would be funny to write my little beauty off. As mine was a demo model and benfield ford could not find another like it in the uk or uk isles my wife persuaded me to purchase a c-max. We took delivery exactly a year ago yesterday and it decided to use it's birthday to toally go kaput. The horrible thing (zetec 1.8) went into the garage last week due to persitant flatspotting and engine warning light appearing then disappearing. Apparently the diognostic came back with nothing, then yester
