I am hoping to buy a 2005 Ford Cmax. I would like diesel, however I think its out of my price range.(£8000). What is the best petrol engine to get for fuel economy and what MPG would I get? David

I wonder if anyone can assist? Cureently I have a Diesel Picasso where I get 48 MPG. Sadly its in need of trading in. My budget would appear to go to a 2005 Ford C Max. Which engine would I need to go for to achive the Picasso's fuel economy? I am looking for 1 2005 model around £8000
