fixed it, :D i stripped it all apart and it was full of water i dried the micro switch with a hairdryer, cleaned and put it back together but sealed it all with silicone to stop future problems, job done...problem sorted, thanks for all replies, :?: if anyone wants a more precise breakdown of how to do it then let me know :?: .

:? hi, the boot on my 54 plate c-max 1.6 lx stays locked when i open the rest of the car, the only way i can open it is with the button on the keyfob, its very inconvenient at times when my passanger needs to get something from the boot i have to remove the keys from ignition everytime, is this normal or is it a faulty boot switch?
