I will I do love the ST but I love this one more, it just looks so good, not as fast as the ST obviously but fast enough and I have allways been one for looks rather than performance.

I cancelled my ST3 in favour of the 2ltr Zetec (panther black)and I have to say it looks so much better than the St, I havent got it yet but I have chosen the wheels,body kit, Eibach lowering springs, ST rear spoiler, single duel exhaust, tinted windows, traction control, 6 disc cd, mats, scuff plates.alloy gear knob and alloy pedal set. cant wait to get it. all this for £4500 cheaper than the ST well happy.

if anyone is ever in welwyn garden city with there ST you can take me for a ride and show me what all the fuss is about.

does it matter what is quicker I have chosen not to go ahead with the ST for practical reasons as well as expense, one day I hope to have an ST maybe in a few years but for now something cheaper is best. I mean 2ltr Zetec panther black,6 disc cd changer, interior styling pack, roof spoiler, traction control, thatcham cat 1 alarm £12789 otr. I am well happy for the time being. and I do need the ST but the time is not right.

uk-car-discount, cancelling my ST has got nothing to do with not being able to wait any longer, during my wait I have just realised I dont need a car like the ST, high running costs, Insurance group etc, I will be quite happy in a normalish car like the Zetec. I dont speed and never go over 80 on motorways so I have been sensible for once and gone for a car that is more practical than the ST.

no it is not a mistake for once in my life I have made the right decision, a practical cheapish car is what I need and that is what I am getting, yes the ST is a very nice car but I wont miss what I haven't had

no I wont regret it, I only ordered the ST because it was the car to have, waiting for it made me realise I just dont need a car like that. so I have saved myself thousands of pounds cheaper insurance and cheaper fuel bills and I am getting a very nice car to replace the it.

no problem might even have a few myself, fuel costs will be less, insurance cheaper so I am very happy.

cancelled my ST order today as the dealer could not tell me when I would get it, so ordered a Zetec 2ltr panther black with 18" X 7.5 anthracite 7 spoke wheels, interior styling pack, traction control, thatcham cat 1 alarm. just over £13000

thats is good news then about ford discounting the ST, although I have ordered the ST3 and still want it I did go and see a golf GTi today in black and I have to say wow what a stunning looking car, and they even have the brake callipers painted red, I have to say I wish I could afford the GTi but I cant so still looking foreward to getting the ST. obviously looks are in the eye of the beholder. anyway hope for some good news about the ST soon.

im not whinging and I dont mind waiting a few months and when and if I get fed up waiting I will get a golf GTI at a discounted price as I would never pay full dealership price for a car that would be madness when there are companys out there getting you thousands of pounds off.

some of us cant afford to pay full price and there is nothing wrong with making use of discounters, I take it you have never bought anything discounted then?

the evo tester's are not qualified then? personnaly it does not matter in the least to me about track times you can never drive the car like that on the road anyway, how often are you ever going to be doing a 0 to 60 time on public roads so for normal people it does not matter if the focus is faster, they are both fantastic cars. I really want the focus but not for racing round the roads trying to prove it is faster than other cars.

im prepared to wait for the ST but I wont wait forever, I dont go racing about in cars so the comment see you in my rear view mirror is wasted on me, the ST is obviously a great car but so is the golf. I would rather have the focus but would not be dissapointed if I had the golf.

In talked to uk-car-discount today about delivery of my ST it looks like it will be a long wait or I might never be able to get it at a discounted price, if that is the case then I will get a VW golf GTi - if ford dont want my money I will go elsewhere.

I also have no car and I ordered at the end of nov, and I still have not been given a delivery date, as for buying a car from archers the reason I ordered from an internet company was because I could not afford dealership prices. it will be worth the wait I am sure.

I have been informed that the ST wheels are ET38 5 X 108 PCD

went to see the performance blue ST today to check it over for colour mis-match as I walked up to it from the front it looked perfect and so did the rear,and I got right up close to check it out, but when you looked at the front from the rear the front bumper looked darker, I checked from all angles and yes it does look different from different angles. I cant honestly say if there was a mis-match but it is all abit worrying when the salesman/women did not know the new focus was called the mk11. she said it could be because the front bumper and wings are made of different materials I woulden't

I saw an orange ST a while back before I new about the problems, I noticed then differences in the colour but thought it was just the sunlight catching it at different angles. anyway im hoping the black will be spot on.

I changed my order from performance blue to panther black because of all the worries about colour mis-match, the black looks very good and hopefully as allready stated there should not be a problem with the colour.

next time I am there which is often as I work just up the road from ford I will have a very close look see.

yes there is a performance blue ST at fords in potters bar and I have seen it a few times and it looks perfect as far as I can tell, but then I havent been inspecting it closely.

good luck in your case, I hope you are right about panther black being okay I stayed away from the other colours because of the problems, I do like black obviously but just dont need the hassle of a mis-match in the colour.

they are 4 stud the new focus is 5 stud, new wheels are hard to find for the new focus I am trying to find different ones myself. there is not many about.
