Ok - at the suggestion of the dealer, It's gone through it's initial run in period, and still Im getting awful 28mpg for town driving. I registered my issues with them before the 30 day and I gave them the car to fix the problem - they have not fixed it. Frankly Im annoyed, I bought diesel for economy and given the way oil prices are going, I will need it! I really like the CMAX, so any advice?

Thanks for the advice - To add to my problems, I've now found the the keys dont lock/unlock the car - only the remote central locking works! Any ideas?

Got my CMAX pre-reg with about 30 miles on the clock (brand new basically) This is my 1st diesel. Currently Im getting a reported 26.9 mpg. This is well below the ford report of 37mpg The car currenly is at about 130miles old now . Is this normal? I appreciate that the car needs a bit of a run in period but this is 10mpg short of the mark!. Also - has anyone ever found their spare tyre well half full of water. Within the 1st week I found that mine was - It had been there long enough to corrode the metal fixings that hold the spare wheel & jack in place and show some signs of corrosion
