  1. Well seing as i started this thread, I have to say there are a lot of people who think it's ok to tint and a lot who dont. Either way, it is down the individal to make that decision and to accept the consiquences. I would like to say to those who have been less than polite in their posts, that I would guess that this is the type of driver who races along the highways, disregards the law and takes the P***. My windows are now tinted and nobody has pulled me over and i have not mamed anyone on the roads - yet! Please, get a life and instread of posting on here with your hands down your pants, g
  2. At last, someone who has come up with the solution to the bing bing bing bing that has been driving me mad for months. Thanks Guys!
  3. BINGO! - at last i know what time it is! Thanks Tomtom - your a lifesaver.
  4. Mmm. Well on the main display (i have the denso sat nav), it has the time in the top left hand corner, but if i hold it down it does nothing. Ive hunted high and low on the screen for a time setting area. Any ideas? - or am i looking in the wrong place.
  5. I have the Sat Nav System in the car and wondered if anyone knew how to set the clock ? - ive looked everywhere. A step by step would be helpful? anyone......
  6. Bloody Hell... I only asked if someone knew where to get my windows tinted. One individual seems to be taking this a bit too seriously. I must point out that if I tint my windows, I will tint my windows, nobody will sway my decisions and as for cosmetic benefits, yes they look nice. Killing motorcyclists etc.. that is down to lack of attention and poor driving surely and not a 40% window tint.... Ahhh life...
  7. I took delivery of my Cmax two weeks ago. It is a 2 litre, Ghia TDCI Diesel with every extra going. It was purchased from Motors Coalville who have been super with service and help. I read a lot of the comments on this website and to be honest it was enough to give me second thoughts. Despite the hiccups that other owners seem to have, this car is the most comfortable, smooth and responsive motor I have ever had the pleasure of owning. Even down to the little details of the lights on the wing mirrors to help you to see where you are going when you get out. I tend to have a few passengers now
  8. in that case, i think i will leave it. Shame, the car just looks odd with two windows clear.. ahh well...
  9. Dunno if this helps you, but if you have the apple ipod, you can get itrip which is a small radio transmitter. This fits to the top of your ipod and broadcasts your music to the stereo - great gadget. I have a 40 gig Ipod 3rd generation for sale if you are interested ! - just a thought. Leigh
  10. I thought it was illegal, but ive seen so many people carriers with all of the windows tinted what the hell! - its not like anyone would be missing out seeing my ugly mug sat behind the wheel - in fact, i think the police would consider it me doing them a favour! hahahahha.
  11. Does anyone have any recommendations on where and how to get the drivers and passengers windows blacked out to match the rear ones on my Cmax Ghia. Anyone able to help?
  12. Hi Disney, Well took the car to liverpool this morning for a jaunt, and it's been great. Oh cruise control, its amazing and made light work of driving. I have been playing with the sat nav and reading the handbook this afternoon, got all excited when i thought the car had external heating, but then soon realised it was an optional extra. Its a great idea for cold mornings, and wonder if anyone else on here has it fitted, that and voice commands for the stereo. Off to Manchester tonight in it, going for a drink and a mooch around the town - any excuse to drive it!. :D Has anyone got any tips
  13. Got the Cmax, went down to Coalville and found that the DVD sat nav system was not working, so they took one out of another vehicle and switched them. All working brilliantly now and according to the on dash computer, the car is clocking about 45.6 mpg at 70mph - and got i love it! I have read a lot of bad things about the car, but so far so good. We travelled from Coalville, to nottingham and then back to stoke, and the car has used next to nothing in fuel. Cruise control, how the hell i have managed without it. The car cost £15k, fully loaded - and is in MINT nick. Tomorrow i will have
  14. A HUGE thank you for the info., I will be popping out to see my local office of Maplins - Can't wait to get it working. I Pick the car up in 35 minutes... anyway must dash, have an appointment with a Ford dealer! Will let you know if i get it working ok -
  15. Hi there. I am getting the car through Coalville motors in Leicestershire. I scanned the Ford website to track down a car with this spec and hey presto - they had two. The one ive opted for it in Tonic, with blacked out windows - shame the front two windows are not tinted either!. Ok. so when i have found the jack in socket in the glove box, where do i find the audio connector for the DVD? Anyone in here know what to do step by step?... Also, does anyone know if this DVD will play region 1 disks as well as region 2? I get the car tomorrow at 3pm and im so excited!!!! yippeeeeee.
