Thanks for all the info - I was just after model specifics I have taken the plunge and bought a 04 tdci ghia (1.6) after driving it and checking the mpg differences between the 2.0l and 1.6 , I decided I would rather have the mpg than the occasional extra ooomph !!!

That is strange - noticed the new Focus is wider still !!

I did contact matlock they offered me £7800 in p/ex - ouch !!!! Have been offered 9k against a 2.0l ghia tdci cmax with leather privacy and front+rear reversing sensors (04 plate with 8k ) on the forecourt for 13k , that was at an independant . Another Ford dealer offered £8.5k pex against any ford direct c-max

Thanks for that ucsman I thought I would probably have to go for the 2.0tdci or notice a big difference if I went for a 1.6 I know what you mean about potholes etc - very noticeable on the 18" wheels on the zetec-s Will arrange a test drive asap :mrgreen:

I currently have an 03 plate tdci Zetec-S , unfortunately I live in a narrow one way street and parking the Mondeo is a nightmare !! My wife has a Focus , and I must admit I love driving it . I am considering p/x ing the Mondy for a C-max ghia but unsure which to go for 2.0 or 1.6 Will be doing approx 26k a year in it , Just want to make sure that I'm not going to be dissapointed . Has anyone else done a similar swap ? Also slightly concerened reading the forum about the number of problems with the C-max electronic brake and the limp home mode problems :?:
