  1. I Loke the looks of the new disco. Too pricey for me. As for the x type - the missuz has always wanted a jag and I liek them too. THe boys on the jag forum claim they are good too. As with anything the early cards had issues, but the newer ones are better. I am told that 2002 was when things got better. We'll see.
  2. he he. Presently the new car is at the top, its a Jag X-Type 3.0 Sport just turned 3. Pick it up Friday. After that it would be... Impreza RB5 - Great fun but kicked me in the nads and stole my wallet every other day. Octavia vRS - Fabulous car - Great performace, practicality & Build. Impreza Sport Special - Yellow! VW Jetta. My first car and it was great. Pug 305 D Turbo - The squashed one (P reg) Impreza Sport - '98 model C-Max. Probably not as bat I currently think. I may mellow on it in the future but riught now it has dissapointed me. Vectra - 1.8 LS on an N plate. Woe.
  3. I squashed one so that doesnt count I suppose.
  4. I bought my c-max over a scenic etc because I prefered its looks and liked the reviews claiming car like superior handling & driving. Well, I'm sure your all happy with yours but mines going after less than 5 months. I liked the styling and the engine. But overall stupid niggles are letting it down... 1. Seat belt. Why oh why does mine always jam and not retract properly every time I lean forward. 2. Economy. Started off with a 38 mpg average which improved to 42 after a recall fix. Still lame for a diesel even if it is a 2,0 one. A golf driver at works gets nearer 50 with ease in hi
  5. Thats it. Its going in as a part ex for £8,200. No one else wants it which is hardly surprising given their faults. Its the worst care ive ever owned and ive had 7 in the last 7 years!! Oh well.
  6. discomax - thats not exactly helping my sale chances!! I'm not buying another ford. We tied t be senible after the scoob and the vrs but I cant cope so its back to something a but more exciting for me. Part ex I have been offered 8,200. So I owuld see to anyone offering a decent amount more than that and able to pay up soon.
  7. Thanks. It would be a shame to part ex it. I'm kinda impatient tho, so and waiting to sell this will keep me from its replacement. WOuld be a bargain for someone based on my autotrader reaserch.
  8. Hi. Looking to shift my C-Max. Is an 2003 53 plate 2.0 TDCI car in zetec trim, with just 14,000 miles. Imaculate condition and has bever had kids or prts it the back. Full fort service history. Colour is a steel blue grey metalic with a dark grey cloth interior. No electrical faults, tyres & brakes etc in good condition. Ford warranty till nov 2006 (when it will be 3). Its gonna be part exchanged for silly money unless I get an offer near to 9k All enquiries to 07917 363714 or misterburns@tiscali.co.uk
  9. £4 is quite cheap. May order som in the new year. Just pull off do they?
  10. I had a new focus yesterday as a hire car. Thraped the conkers off it. It was 1.6 petrol zetec. Interior was terrible compared to cmax. Front felt cramped and I couldnt get the seat/steering wheel / pedals position right. Plastics were hard and hollow sounding - cheap. Oval vents are nasty. Boot shallow and small. 1.6 engine was gutless and lost pull early in the rev range. Would not have one over a cmax or a competitor to be honest. Had clear side repeaters tho, was temped to heave them off and swap for my orange ones - wonder if they would notice! Can we order clear lenses now as a
  11. Is it me or does the c-max have like the heaviest clutch in the world? My leg aches in traffic! Drove a new Focus yesterday and that had a feather light clutch. Was a 1.6 petro tho.
  12. The car in the picture is a 2005 model - see the indicators in the wing mirrors. Defo not the car he is selling as its a 2004.
  13. I had an octavia for 2 years before the c max, every service was cheap, the reliability coulnt be faiulted and the service from the dealers was second to none. In 45,000 miles i never once had a service as expensive as the 25,000/2nd year service my c-max is about to have. Towards the end tho there were a few rattles creaking in and the paint quality dissapointed but thats all. Subaru do well because people who buy them tend to be enthusiasts. The 3 impreza's I had before the skoda ll had many faults and iritations, but if I could have any one of the cars ive ever owned again it would be
  14. i might buy a job lot and sell em on the bay for £3 profit each he he
  15. Just booked the max in for a 24 month/25,000 mile servce. £160!!! plus £35 extra for a 'recomended brake fluid change'. crikey! it aint cheap.
