  1. All seems to be ok now. Messages have been sent. The funny thing was when I told the service department about the software version required, it took them two days to get back to me to confirm what I had told them. When I took the vehicle in to be updated I said to the service manager I was quite concerned that it was me that had told them what to do, he looked slightly embarassed and dismissed it saying that they are the first to know about updates, it didn't really all add up.
  2. I have tried to PM a couple of people that have asked about the dealer but my messages just sit in the outbox and wont send, can anyone let me know what I have to do. Thanks.
  3. After having a 1 year old C-Max Zetec TDCi for 3 months it got to the point where the dealer actually gave us a refund because of all the problems we had. Some were down to the dealer and some were down to the vehicle itself. To cut a long story short, it took the dealer the first month to sort out a problem with the paintwork (which was only noticed after the vehicle was cleaned) which resulted in the roof being resprayed twice! Then it broke down in the second month with "Steering Assist Failure" then the third month it broke down with "Engine System Failure", which after two days the de
  4. Cmaximus Thanks for your reply. The 'Engine System Failure' light came on and then the vehicle went into 'Safe' mode, i.e. would not got above 30mph. My wife stopped the car, turned the ignition of and back on again and then it would not start.
  5. After finding this excellent Forum I told my local dealer about the Cluster software update to 0424 and it finally went in and has now been updated to 0424, this was after we had told them twice about the Low Fuel Level warning light coming on which they denied any knowledge of. My question is: The vehicle broke down with 'Steering Assist Failure', we were told they upgraded the software for this. About a month later it broke down with 'Engine System Failure', the dealer said it was because it had run out of fuel when I know for a fact the display was showing 62 miles left to go and the l
  6. Hi BlueMax Thanks for your response. I have just checked and it is 0422, and that is after it was in the dealer about 1 month ago and they told us they had upgraded it. It was in for Steering Assist Failure which they put down to needing a software update. We have told them about this fuel error twice now and they are denying any knowledge of it and say they have not seen the problem when testing. I know a certain Ford dealer who is going to be getting a phone call tomorrow. Because of the problems we have had they have offered a part exchange on a different vehicle but having trouble
  7. Can someone please show me where the post was on this forum that shows you how to check the software versions you have. I saw it once and have looked everywhere but cannot find it. Have notified the Ford dealer we purchased the vehicle from about the fuel light warning problem (when there is fuel) and they didn't know anything about it. Apparently they have upgradef software to latest version but I'm not so sure. It also broke down 2 days ago with Engine System Failure (or something like that), after two days in the garage they said it was because it had run out of fuel! Have got a C-Ma
