  1. Thanks but i dont have RAC / AA cover at mo. it lapsed just before i bought the c-max and with a baby on way i didnt bother with the expense of renewing. But i wont even risk driving it at mo. I travel 60 miles on dual carriageway in dark with baby in back. I couldnt risk it cutting out on me, I know what thats like and its not nice. Shall just keep on and on at them.
  2. well all theyve said is that they will look at it again. They are gonna check the diagnostics. Considering they said that the computer was showing all sorts of irregularities before then I would hope that it will now show what happened to it Friday. Fingers crossed they sort it tomorrow.
  3. Are these points visable with leather interior? I would check myself but the car is back in garage again! Nicola
  4. Update: My partner took car out Friday night to get takeaway. By the time he got back it was cold, cos he'd sat outside the takeaway trying to get car to rev again!! It went back to garage on saturday morning but they said that under warranty they wont replace the EGR valve until there is proof that that is the fault. So yet again I am without a car! We also asked for all work that they have carried out to be put in writing (for our future reference should it never get fixed) and apparently they cant do that!
  5. aha, car came back from garage at 11am so i didnt get chance to ask. but shall get round to it at some point. ta
  6. Thanks everyone! Car was taken to garage this morn and is now fixed. Whilst it was there they did all the work to be carried out under recall notices which was: Rear washer (knew about that) Clock on 6000cd (didnt know it was recall) some vaultage adjuster thingy or something (they think that may be cause for rev problems) They also checked on diagnostics, the cars 'brain' was throwing up all sorts of weird and wonderful things they said so that have wiped its memory and reset it all. So, if this fixes the faults, then Im very impressed. they did it all in 2 hours and they have put it
  7. When i bought my car I must admit i had other pressing matters on my mind (was 8 and half months pregnant). I had read the brochures on the Cmax and had noted that it had the isofix system in place, a reall must have with a baby on way. So, now ive come to start looking at the new car seat for my baby what do i find? No blinkin' isofix points on leather interior!!! Am i being stupid? Are they hidden in there somewhere and i just cant find them?? Did i miss the note in brochure about it not being on leather interior cars Oh and the car is now sat at local garage, wonder if they will fin
  8. Thanks Chris, would be interested to hear if it happens to yours again. Nicola
  9. Dennis the menace, Dont get a whizzpopper!!!! I had an astra 1.6l sport and in the year that i had it it returned to dealer 8 times for problems with it stalling for no reason! it would just cut out at 70mph!! I was told various things but the best was 'its a sports car love, its not meant for day to day driving'!!! DUH, a 1.6l whizzpopper, mass produced, sports car eh? and there was me thinking it just had alloys, a CD player and a badge on the back!
  10. Thanks Ken, Re: the clock. Thats exactly what i told the woman at the garage, but she swears shes right. Shouldve told her to go fix the bl@@dy thing herself then just to shut her up!! I dont mind losing a minute a month, but when its 45 mins fast as it is at mo, i find it distracting when i need to be places at certain times and instead of concentrating fully on the road Im trying to work out what the time is I have gone through a few conversations about the revs and the EGR valve and shall go armed with paperwork should they say there is nothing wrong with it.
  11. [sorry to hear your C-Max is doing an impression of a Renault ! ] haha thanks for reply car isnt due a service for another 2k as it was serviced when i bought it. have just called EMG in haverhill, suffolk and they are gonna take it and do clock (apparently i couldve done it manually?) and the rear washer (recall) but they will have to keep it in and see if they can find fault with revs. Im so worried that theyll just say theres no fault and that Itll stop on motorway with me a baby in car. I had a whizzpopper once that did that often and no-one could find fault. Thing was a bloody dea
  12. Hi folks! Thank god Ive found this site. Can anyone help me with a couple of things? I have a 53plate 2.0TDCI with 16k on clock. It was bought this summer and had been an ex-demo. Since getting it ive had the odd niggles with it and was wondering if you could offer advice. The CD player 6000cd is 45mins out on the clock. it was 5 mins out when i bought it. sometimes it doesnt even come on at all i just get _ _ : _ _ displayed. The trim on the rear passenger door seems to be loose. Last night I experienced the worst problem so far tho. I was planning on heading to my parents 60 mi
