I am delighted to say that I followed his advice and now appear to have my rattle problem sorted :lol: I still need to sort out my battery cover problem though (all broke and flimsy, I had to remove it) Thanks. :o I,ll give this a try later, I have even removed the battery cover (all of it) as it was loose and split (poor quality plastic) ... watch this board! 8)

8) ... I have my car booked in (under warranty) for the dealer to investigate, the battery cover top is broken (I have temporarily removed it) but the remainder of the battery cover is still in place (loose), I have tried to "wedge" it tight without much success, however I also thought it might be a heat shield issue (vibrating at 50mph +)... the car is rattle free, in fact, very quite under 50mph?, if anybody finds a fix please place a post... any ideas are welcome :|

:D ... Hello, I recently purchased a 2005 '54 plate new focus 1.6 zetec vcti. I,ve only had it a week or so, and, whilst it drives nice I have come accross a very irritating post 50 mph "rattle " that appears to be coming from under the dash or bulkhead area, my dealer is happy to investigate but I wondered if anybody else has had this problem and knows of a fix?. :D
