Had my 1.8 Petrol Zetec for four days now and loving it. So much more room than my old Focus. A few problems with the alarm not being fitted within the factory(see my post in new focus section). Still playing with the bluetooth voice control. Would rate it 8/10, higher if the alarm problem is sorted out without anymore fuss.

Dealer agreed yesterday it is a mistake by Ford and it will be fitted on Thursday at the dealership. Asked him if this would be the proper ford upgrade and not a after market alarm and he said it would. Not sure if this can be done though, looking at the brochure the overhead light console that houses the internal sensors is totally different and how will they fit a deactivation button inside the door handle?

It does not seem to have either the deactivation button or the internal sensors.

Can anybody tell me the differance between the standard Perimeter alarm and the Thatcham Cat 1 Volume Sensing upgrade. I ordered my new C-Max with the upgrade as an extra but not convinced it has been installed, there does not seem to be any interanal sensors as you can move about in the car with the alarm armed without it going off. The dealer is looking into this but a little extra info would be a big help.

Anybody know the usual time it takes a new car to leave the production line in Germany to reach our shores. I had confirmation my c-max was built and ready for shipping over two weeks ago and as yet it has not arrived in this country. Do all Ford imports come into Dagenham, my dealer said it will be docking in Liverpool. :?:

Looks like the opposite has happened c-max has been built early and is on its way to Liverpool as we speak.

Looking at some of the other forum sections ST seem to be having big manufacturing delays due to bluetooth. Anybody know if the bluetooth issue's will effect c-max production.

Ordered my new 1.8 Petrol C-max Zetec in Panther Black with Sony CD/MP3 player, DEACT, Bluetooth & Cat 1 Alarm. Just waiting for a delivery date now, carn't wait :lol:

I have had a quote for a brand new zetec 1.8 petrol max in panther black for £12,848 do you think this is a good deal?
