  1. The 2.0l Diesel is a good performing unit but has had quite a few teething problems which Ford are slowly ironing out. The 2.0l petrol engine is OK nothing special but if you truely are not bothered by economy go for the ST 3 with all the extras. It serious performance (0-60 in arond 6.5 secs top speed around 150) it is reasonably comfortable (so long as you fit in the Recaro seats) The ride is a bit harder and the 18" rims & low Profile tyres have their usual effects but it does have lots of Toys and the options list is fairly short. The only problem is they are in fairly short supply at
  2. Yes indeed but I wanted an ST03 plate especially ST 03 ARL can't be found closest was ST 53 ARL which they want £4k for !!!!
  3. Depends on the Company inside Siemens that you work for some don't use it. The company I'm leaving Siemens VDO doesn't use it just at this moment although I do know they have looked at it. The Company I'm moving to does use it. SBS if you are interested.
  4. No way, i also work for siemens, and im also looking at the ST, you having a 5 or a 3 door, im looking at the 3 door ST2, its only going to cost me 54 a month on the lex scheme! have you been told what the delivery times are? I'm going for the 3 dr ST3 Not had a delivery time quoted to me yet as I only got the quote approved at the end of last week but just going by the comments on here I'm glad mine aint due for change till September.
  5. Fortunately for me the difference in the cost to me between the 2 and the 3 is only £5 odd a month. I consider £70 per month to run round in an ST3 for 3 years to be the bargin of the century. Just discovered that the ST3 has heated front seats so no frozen bum either yippee bonus! Wow that is a good deal - what's the catch!?!?! :D Well I'm sure you will enjoy it regardless of what material the seats are covered in!!! The catch is I have to work for a company called Siemens :-) Honestly the company car scheme is one of the best bits of the job apart from been paid for my hobby (Sorting

  7. and it's equally as valid as anybody elses Chris. I like the leather mainly cause its easy to clean and easier to slide in and out plus my cat tends to moult a lot and the fur transfers from me to seat and sticks like glue to most seat materials in Fords. My last Focus Ghia had leather and it was very hardwaring no cracking or splits in the 3 years and 90000 plus miles but I did use proper leather oil on it every 6 months to feed it. I think most people tend to neglect this and end up with seats like the ones you saw. The cold in winter can be a bit of a shock when I get out at 5 in the mo
  8. how long you been waiting Ed? Mine is not due till Sept but our company like you to start the process early!!!! Sounds like a good idea this time around.
  9. Oh well not the end of the world and the one in my current Ghia does not either so not really a problem. Thanks again
  10. Cheers for that must admit I do like the leather seats easier to clean etc Does the changer play MP£'s by any chance?
  11. Hello All I read some time ago a topic on wether to buy the 2 or the 3 now I'm faced with the same issue I can get the 2 for £65 pm or the 3 for £76 pm on the car scheme here at work. I presume the 3 is the better option b ased on the extra toys but does anyone have a different opinion on this?
