No fear of that DFM, I drive home Via a 8 mile stretch of country road every night thats almost deserted nice and winding ;) Think i am gonna go with the 170 the petrolheadhead always wins out from nova 1.3sr, Xr2i, golf gti and now ahem a 1.9td peugeot i got cause I used to do 500miles a week for work hehe... back to performance now i just do 300 or so a week hehe.

My local dealer as I arrived back from a test drive just took a 12k milage 04/04 ST170 in panther black with all the trimmings, the previous owner being at the back end of middle age....... now im torn cause for 8,900 I could get the ST170 or for 8,600 I can get a 1.6 115ps 05/05 with a few extras at 15kmileage. So I ask you Forum members as a lot of you previously owned a mk1.5 focus what do you think... the petrolhead in me says ST170 and the conservative economical side says 1.6 are the new improvements worth it for the MkII ..... oh the pain I got a splitting headache.
