  1. Dear Diesel, I do no think so that your car has the same leaking problem to that of my car. In my case, I did not notice dropplets of water. The entire boot was floaded. I should have taken pictures of the sparewheel compartment (as most of the water was accumulated there) to show you. It was like a swimming pool. In my opinion, you do not have to pull the gutter trim off, just pour some water onto the point indicated by the yellow arrow (use a hosepipe) and check the outcome. Crispy
  2. Hi Phil, I think, your Mk2 delivers 115 bhp where mine has only 80 bhp, so this power draining due to air conditioner should not be so noticable in your case. Crispy
  3. Dear all, I got a Focus II with a 1.4 engine and I experience a huge lag in car's ability to rev up from 2000 to 3000 with 2nd gear (sometimes I feel that the engine will stall). Things become even worse when the air-conditioner is on. It is very annoying especially when driving in town (...and greek towns have plenty of narrow uphill roads) where it is almost impossible to drive with high revs. Any suggestions? Crispy

This is a common problem and has to do with a glue pore somewhere in the upper side of the 5th door near the LH light.My dealer has fixed this problem on my car.The water comes in from the pore i mentioned,then passes through a hole that holds the white plastic trim that is hanging over the LH rear seat belt,drains behind the LH wheelarch carpet and ends up on the floor.You can check if there is any water by putting your fingers in the 3 square holes from where the airbag system is noticeable.If anyone needs more info i would be happy to provide.
