  1. Problem solved! I couldn't pull the socket out but removing the centre console is fairly simple. That exposed the connections which were in place but there was no power. I then checked the fuses under the passenger side dash and surprise surprise, the 20A fuse was blown. (no idea why - probably like it since before I got the car). The lesson is, don't take what the user guide says as gospel. In my case the rear socket remained live with the blown fuse despite what it says in the book. I've no idea which fuse supplies the rear socket but that's not a problem. Just have to work it through! Shoul
  2. Thanks for this. Yes, had tried with ign on and with engine running. No luck there. I don't have a cigar lighter in the socket - none with car when i bought it but according to the user guide, both front and back sockets can be used with the ign off. So still none the wiser. Any other suggestions on this mystery? Could it be broken wire or a disconnected terminal under the centre console? The green light round the socket lights up when the light switch is on. Rob
  3. Tried to connect my sat nav to front power point between the seats but after checking with a test meter found the point wasn't live. The one in the boot is ok. According to the owners guide both are supplied by fuse 39 so since the rear one works, assume fuse must be ok but not checked it. Anyone suggest a reason to the front one not working? Any help appreciated. rob
