Interesting answers :? Im on a very tight budget circa £9K which doesnt give me a big choice in eather car (Ford / Renault). Looked at an LX, 1.6 diesel today (higher bhp model), 04 model, 10K miles, privecy glass, front and rear sensors - £8995. Need to surf the net a bit more :?

Just been to Devon for the week with my wife and son, went in company car as her 5dr, 2001, 1.6 Focus Zetec wouldnt fit our "stuff". While we were away my wife has decided a Renault Scenic would be better for us........... is the C-Max better? Has to be Diesel ! Discuss..............

The C-Max i saw were at Hartwell Ford, London Road, Nottingham, the salesman name was Ray something. I liked the Verso but like you the engines were terrible. The Scenic feels a bit lighter fresher than the C-Max, ive yet to work out residual vlaues.

Cheers guys 8) Put my mind at rest for now. Im in no rush for now, i just need to look at finances, and different options....Renault Scenic, Toyota Verso etc. i want value for money, economy and safety. The Focus has been ok (i hate Ford dealers) but it now needs money spending on it. I will keep you all informed.

Saw my first C-Max today "in the flesh", a 1.6TDCI Zetec, brand new for £12,395. I loved it, suits our family needs better than our 2001 Focus Zetec. I want one. 8) But having read through this section of the Forum im a bit put off :? Flat batteries Flooded boots Updates required etc etc :?:

I never liked the current Focus when it came out and now i love it, a cracking car ! The new Focus, well im 50/50 at the moment and for the first time, i think the 5dr looks better than the 3dr !!!!!
