Hi all, I noticed on Saturday morning when we had our first frost that my boot would not open via the release on the handle. The remote release on the key fob worked but the handle did not. When it warmed up a little it worked fine. Anyone else experienced this?. I would understand if it was minus 20 but it was only just freezing!

Hi, If I push the front windows in at the top I get the same creaking that I hear when driving at low speeds. It is a lot worse when it is warmer. Maybe the doors need adjusting to close tighter at the top to hold the glass and seals in tighter. I will add this gripe to my list of woes and bring it up at the 1500 mile check.

Ron,I have the same spec as yourself and I am getting about the same figures. I have only covered 600 miles but would expect much better mpg. The salesman said that the mpg would get better, this was just before I drove the car away so I suspect they are fully aware of the poor figures. The best I have had is about 32mpg measured on a motorway run. I have added the poor mpg to my list of moans that I will be giving the dealer when the car has its 1500 mile check. I wish now that I had waited another year so all the faults could have been fixed. Apart from that I think its a good car.

Has anyone had the dealer kit fitted to enable the use of the Isofix child seat fitting?. They are fitted to the car but are covered by the seat fabric. My dealer showed me the Ford Tech release that gives instructions on how to "CUT" the fabric with a blade and then fit a plastic guide to enable the seat to lock on to the Isofix points. The brochure shows a Isofix seat in place and states a dealer kit will be required. Cutting the seats leaves me a little worried,even if it is carried out by the dealer. All other cars in its class ( Scenic,Touran ) have Isofix points that are already exposed.
