No, was looking for onr. There is a little feature that bugs me. When you switch the ignition off half way through a CD track, it always starts agai at the start of the track. Really does my head in. Can it be turned off? What does COMP mean?

5W wedge bulb. Remove the torx screw on the headlamp unit, push the plastic retaining strips down to release the unit and the 5w is at the top of the cluster with a brown plug.

Surpisingly, the ones I put in that have 25 LED's didn't kick off the bulb failure alarm on the brake light, but did when I used them as indicators. Had to fit resistors to the indicators to make them flash at the correct speed.

Don't. I'm not a safety stickler or anything, but the standard lights are way brighter than the superior LED.s. Thereflector in the light cluster doesn't reflect the LED lights cos the LED's shine out in one direction, whereas a normal bulb shines around it's whole bulb. I had a look at the wifes E class that has LED lights and they must have 80 LEDS on the brake lamps alone!!!!!

They certainly do. Nice and white and they do go well with the xenons. Pitty the rear ones look crap. I have got the brightest available (25 LED rear brake lamps) and they look no where near as bright as the standard bulb. Thinkg of taking them out, scared in case I ge rear ended.

Anyone know how to remove the window winder on the rear door of the C-Max. Got the fromts off OK, the rears are being prevented by the window winder. Doesn't llok like theres a cap on the end of the stub. The ford dealer says there is a 'horseshoe' clip behind the winder? Cant see anything and need to get this thing done ASAP? Any help, thanks in adavance

Just the woofers mate. The standard 6000 system has six speakers, consisting of four main speakers and two tweeters. The upgrade has eight which is the same tweeters, uprated speakers and two additional tweeters in rear. I'm not bothered about rear tweeters, so will change the main ones only. Will take piccies and stuff and get them posted with instructions and part numbers.

I shouldn't moan about the cost of Ford parts, honestly. After whinging about being had for £61 for three wipers I have just bought four main speakers for the SONY upgrade on the C-Max. The cost was £79. I was expecting £100 each, but no, a modest £79 for all four main speakers (in each door). Bought the SONY MP3 player for my maxie for £150 cash. It is brill but it was murdering my standard speakers, way too much Bass and even with the BAss set at -2 it was boomy. EXACTLY MY THOUGHTS He's talking * * * *. Nobody got turbo diesel taxis?????? There is a tiny element of truth in the fact that you are supposed (with any turbo vehicle) wait till the engine rev's stabilise back to tickover before you switch yer engine off. If you only do short journeys I bet you don't even do 15k pa so the turbo would probably be good for ten years!

Evans Halshaw has a silver one in showroom, is not sold too? Or are they not gonna sell it cos they can't get one to replace it?

Min has Michelin Premacy Sport Inspected them yesterday and was genuinely surprised that they were Michelin's cos they seem awfull grippy for Michelin's. Was expecting usual conti contacts. I would rate these tyres better than Michelins Pilot Sport which are really grippy for the first 4K and then become rock hard and very slippy!!!

What garage? Did it have any extras?

I have genunelytried the same and could not get it to understeer. I tried it again the other day on a roundabout on a quiet ind estate and the back end came away before the front. Felt like the front had a LSD it stuck so much.

I t was in to have the armrest replaced and the rear view mirror replaced. The work involving the WDS was done last week. I did ask them to do it when I dropped it off in the morning. When i picked it up it hadn't been done, so I took it stright back and asked them to do it there and then. So technically they did set it up specifically to enable the autolock. Thought it was fair to pay the fee but can't understand why it isn't set up as standard considering it's a safety/security feature.

it's a ford thing cos I noticed that about a Mondeo I had before my c-max. Either that or the cylinder is in upside down :roll:

Bought the C-Max cos the Mondeo Zetec S TDCi I had previously was modded it death. Thought by buying the C-Max I'd grow out of it!! Do I need webspace to put a picture up on here???

Had the autolocking set up on my maxie today and was charge £35 + VAT to set it up on the WDS. Should I be charged to set up a feature that is 'inherent' in the car?

How many euros did it cost? If you don't mind me asking........
