  1. Go get em!!!! There only the ones from the current Fiesta/galaxy. 4593010 Lamp Assy £1.82 X 2 4075423 Bulb (orange) £2.30 X 2 Yes, you read that right, the bulbs ARE more expensive then the lamps themselves. 5 minutes job to change them.
  2. i'M GONNA SELL THE MAXIE SOON IF ANYONE'S INTERESTED.
  3. photobucket doesn't come up?????? PM on the way!!!
  4. If someone can post the pick i'll show you a piccie of the cmax with all round tints and my mondeo with B-Pillar beyond tints Anyone post them for me????
  5. I had mine done all round for £200 by Privacy tinting in Leigh. Russell has done about 6 cars for me know. The benefit to having the windows tinted by third party are: it doesn't make a new car a factory order if you get bored of it, you can easily remove it You can pick and choose your preferred grade (factory glass is STD tint) The film is also a security deterent as it is actually difficult to to get through the glass with a strong film holding it together. Some * * * * in Bristol smashed mine and gave up cos they probably thought it was security film!! Chuck a brick at norm
  6. some bloke called geordie mick in wigan has seen a mint C-max 2.0TDCi Zetec for sale in the for sale section..................
  7. It might answer some questions that I've been thinking in my head!! It does seem very 'boomy' and it may because of that. The unit did come out of a leather clad ultima, so may get it done. However i'm off to dealers todat to see if they'll do me a deal on a Mondeo STTDCi! So may not get it done afterall!
  8. Ahhhhhhhhh, my dealer tried to get thsi (it's in accesories catalogue and they told me it weren't available in UK!!! Obviously is!! Thanks for that, i'm off to get one!!! Are the bars the restrainer bars for sectioning off boxes etc?
  9. Was that an intentional pun??????? 'glowing'? I would recommend you buy them cos they are better than the standard ones, just don't expect them to be anywhere near the performance of xenons. I parked mine next to my Type R that has xenons and they don't come anywhere near the brightness. Get them, but just expect them to be better than standard.
  10. Sorry to dissapoint yo Martin but i got te osram ones on the basis of what auto-express said and they are better than the standard ones but only marginally better. The C-Max has some of the worst headlights in the AE test, only gettin 2/5 stars. I have also tried the Halfords top of the range ones (£35 a pair) and they're no better. No halogen bulb will ever get near the quality of xenon/gas discharge bulbs. The xenons on the maxie are Bi Xenons and the reason why the halogen comes on when you flash is because a xenon filament takes over two seconds to reach it's full temperature/range
  11. Steamvalve your'e right. Just checked them and they are the fixpoint ones. Can't remember buying them (which concerns me)? but I had the wider bars which I had to modify slightly. Nevertheless, £59.99 is still cheaper than £130ish.
  12. I think it's probably the fact that the C-max isn't a well known towing car. I tow very infrequent and certainly didn't buy it for towing, as I would of bought a 4x4.
  13. I have a Thule rapid fit system with a Polar 100 box on mine. If you get the ford (made by Thule) unit the bars don't extend beyond the width of the gutters. It will literally take the box and thats it. On mine I can have the box and a bike cos the bars are the universal bars that fit the 750 footpack. I have learned over the last two years not to by car-specific roof equipment. Cos your'e tied to that car. Every time I change my car (every four months cos i get bored with them) I just change the adaptor kit for the 750 footpack (£20). I wouldn't touch halfords own stuff, the Thule is
  14. I tow a 1600KG horsebox and she tows no probs at all. It seems the tall and natural sloping front end act as a bit of a wind deflector cos the trailer seems a lot more stable on the motorwat than it did when I had a mondeo estate Can be a bit thirsty. Took a horse up to Newcastle and I got the MPG down to 27 going over the hills.
  15. Get the SE version mate, you'll get leather in it :P
  16. The part number is 132330 for the rubber mat exactly the same as the one in the picture. Mine was £30.38 + VAT
  17. I was told it was put into the 607 and C5 to get any problems 'ironed out' on low volume models before they are released to the mainstrea models (like the R32 lump), but likeyourself, I am happy to stand corected!!!!!!!!!
  18. Peugeot are the diesel innovators. Look at Pug's derv engine history, a pug 205 1.9d would outlast a fiesta 1.8d the world over, the 405 diesels where far superior than fords horrible 2.3D engine. Ford has had so much problems with the Mondeo 2.0 TDCi and the 1.8TDCi in the Focus (both ford built) that they have had do engine agreements with PAS (Pug-citroen) to ensure a reliable engine. 1.6 TDCI engine goes into: C-MAX New focus Citroen Picasso HDi 110 New Citroen C4 307 1.6HDi 206 GTHDI (gti derv) and it's been de-tuned to 90BHp for the new Fiesta Zetec - S TDCi The 2.0TDCi PAS unit go
  19. I had a Zetec S mondy with a Tunit box whic threw out 158BHP and I raced a chipped Focus TDCi Sport and killed it. And mine was an estate!!! My moneys on the STTDCi. 400nms of torque is only 100nms of torque less than the new 5.0 V10 BMW M5!! Don't let the STTDCi's 0-60 time fool you. The 0-60 is the wekest link in any diesel. It's the mid range and top end and the STTDCi has plenty on offer! The 2.0TDCi IS in the new focus. Ford have basically given up on their own TDCi engines and will be using the PAS 1.6, 2.0 & 2.2 ltr diesel across most of the range. I've heard that they
  20. There's probably an element of that but i think the ghia is better soundproofed purely because the internal trim is thicker and plusher. An example would be the door trims in the zetec are hard thin plastic wheras the ghia has soft trim on top of the plastic. Think the floor liners in the ghia are thicker too, it only takes a slightly thicker carpet to make a big differnce to sound intrusion.
  21. I've got one and be warned they're not a perfect fit. Theres some play and also you can't tie anything down without cutting the liner. So every little crumb gets underneath it.
  22. Think they send them direct to the dealers for 'theft' reasons.
  23. should that not be: Honestly.... WOMEN that don't. A) Know anything about cars B) Have two ears and one mouth but instead of using their ears twice as much as their mouth, insisit on ploughing ahead and NOT listening to what they're being told! C) Typical halfords staff. One tried to convince me one day that my Honda Accord Type R didn't exist or it was an import cos it weren't listed....................................even though it was outside in the car park and built in Swindon for the euro market and never exported, so it couldn't be re-IMPORTED. Honestly..........Halfords salepeople!
  24. www.ultraleds.co.uk, about £5 The wedge is part of the bulb. Ni you wont need a resistor for the sidelights.
  25. They are, the wedge bit is the bit that fits into the 'receptor' and the actual 'bulb' is five white LED's.
