  1. Hello Rejected C-max after breakdown number 6,towed home from Lake district to Glasgow, and have now got a VW Touran 2l tdi sport. Not as rapid or precise steering wise but its got 7 seats and feels much bigger and it goes from A to B like a car is supposed to(not on the back of a transporter  )So good luck to everyone out there and I hope you get whatever problems you have with C-max resolved :D
  2. hello Thought I would reply as I have also experienced power loss on a number of occasions as well as LOTS of other TDCI owners  The chances are that it is not the turbo as this is a well known issue with TDCI engines.Have a search of forum for power loss and you,ll see what I mean :!: Sound to me like your dealer doesn,t have a clue whats wrong and is just replacing parts.Thare is a Ford Technical service bulletin which you can find in the Known faults sticky at top of forum, show this to your dealer and he may change EGR valve. This does fix some vehicles but problem returns on some, like

Have just recieved car back from garage, they changed battery & alternator and service manager was sure this would cure fault ,it stalled and would not start whilst garage driver took it for a test drive!Service manager phones back to tell me good news  He eventually phones Ford and they tell him it's the wiring harness mantioned in the sticky that I printed for them :D So new battery, alternator and wiring harness for me.Have not had much of a run in car but no error codes so far, I am travelling to Liverpool on Fri from Glasgow so that should be a good test  Have upped
  5. Thanks for replies I have checked car and no interior lights have been left on,the radio is a Ford 6000cd and software not sure of version but was flashed at last visit just over a week ago!! I have looked at common faults and there is a TSB for battery discharge, faulty with water into faulty wiring harness to glow plug, will print this off and show garage, if this cures fault i may consider sending them a bill for my time!!! Thanks again I,ll post again with outcome :?
