i have my wiring coming up to the nearside light cluster ( this is the one i took out and had a multimeter on ) have double checked again , and all wires seem to be on the right wires , but when i plug in a trailer board , i now have brake lights , tail lights , but left indicator flashes both tail lights???? have double checked for crossed connections NONE! :evil:

andy in your codes you had black ns tail lamp , ive had light unit off and tested with a multimeter and no matter what i turn on it has no signal , according to the Ford workshop dvd black is an earth. Idid get a reading for tail light on another 2 tone wire and now have left tail lights , left indicator , brake lights , but no right indicator or right tail light??

this is a nightmare andy , wired up to the colours you provided ---Zilch?? even took the lamp unit out to make sure it was the right wires ,still nothing but somehow blew the fuse for the radio??? . I checked the colours you gave against the Ford workshop DVD and they are the same ??? Back to the drawing board me thinks!

yep it sounds like a cost cutting exersize , my old mondeo had the radio changer on the steering wheel and it all illuminated at night. :twisted:

I have the cmax ghia , only had it a couple of weeks , was suprised the other evening when i went out in it for the first time at night. when i turned lights on the steering column controls didnt have any lights ie nothing to show where the cruise controls or the remote radio/cd functions were. Now my question is , is this meant to be like that (very dangerous in the case of cruise control ) or is this a fuse falure. The EPB has a small illumination so why dont these controls? :roll:

thanks andy that will be a great assistance , as there is no haynes manual available yet , and i hate trying to find wiring with a , hit and miss policy . One query is there something to cable tie the wiring away from the exhaust ie near hand bracket etc Alex

hi , phoned local autostores today for haynes manual for my c-max 2.00 ghai tdci , they say there aint one ,and not one in the near future !!!! Bummer . any way I wondered does anyone here have the colour codes of wiring so that i can wire up my towbar any help would be appreciated. 8)

hi guys first post on this great forum , im about to put a towbar on my ford focus c-max 2.00 TDCI 2004 , what I was wondering , is , when i come to wire in the electrics is there a towbar connection in the current wiring , or do I have to attach every wire singly into the loom. 8)
