Hi, i have a 04 2.0 TDCI, just booking in for it's 3 yr service and the local ford dealer is quoting about £450 :shock: Is this an Avg price or are they just over charging. Thx

i had the same problem, FORD would not give me a car while mine was off the road :twisted:. They suggested that i call the RAC and get them to declare the car as undrivable. The RAC would then give me a hire car for 24hrs then FORD would extend this for the period that mine was off the road. So I called the RAC, explained the problem. They towed me to the FORD garage, got my hire car from the RAC and the FORD dealer extended it after the int. 24 hr period.

Got the car back last week and all seems fine now..... :) It took them a week, to get a new ERG value and fit it.......

Garage says they have done the software upgrade..... But I need a new ERG Valve???? Had to get the car towed to the garage today..... No power, so car stalls when you put it into gear.... :(

Hello, My 2.0TDCI Zetec has the stalling in 1st gear, hesitation while driving etc, etc, that is in a lot of links. The car has now been with a dealer for 4 days and they still do not know what the problem is, so cannot fix it. Has anyone had these problems successfully fixed by a dealer? If so, I could get mine to talk to them and you never know - FORD might get it fixed :(

:cry: picked the car up after the garage had it two days. But the problem still remains. They said that they fixed a problem with a sensor for the turbo which was faulty? Which was causing it to cut off. Oh well back to the garage tomorrow.... :(

:? I recently purchased a 2.0TDCI Zetec 2 months ago from a dealer with 78mls on the clock :D . The last 2500mls have been fine, running the engine in and taking it easy. But about 2 weeks ago I started to get a problem with the engine, the malfuncation light came on. So took the car to the local dealer, were I got it from and the said the ERG value had come off and they replaced it.
