  2. lots of info on here. use search to find all. ill give you a starter for 10 http://www.ffoc.co.uk/modules.php?name= ... =bluetooth
  3. http://fordfcsd.wunderman.be/UK/default.asp hope this is what you need - follow the menus
  4. Pics as requested- well chuffed!! Sorry for the * * * * quality more pics to follow
  5. pics to follow revoltos - try calling allen ford in swindon and speak to wayne. he only did it last week, so he should know. good luck mate i read just recently on fiestastoc that its the GEN module that needs a software update.
  6. Managed to get everything working, bluetooth and voice control. Trying to prove the build date was/wasn't an issue I bought a new shape Sony Headunit with the red display. Plugged in - Everything works!!!!!!! The voice commands controlling all the radio, cd and phone. Bonded two phones to the headunit and can see last calls, dialled calls and phonebook on the display. Just have to put the round mic in the roof and i'm all done. Info off Marcus Hindley is that he used Allen Ford in Swindon and the tech there called Wayne reprogrammed his headunit using WDS/IDS and everything worked
  7. I have received a PM off someone who had exactly the same problem as me. Apparently Ford can upgrade the software in the Sony Gen 1's to enable bluetooth. If this is true I'll get on to my local stealer. Will find out more and get back to everyone.
  8. http://i19.ebayimg.com/06/i/000/f6/a4/681c_1.JPG Location of ford sticker showing build date at bottom right of lowest sticker (not barcode)
  9. Can you look to see the build date on your radio? I'm assuming that pre 2005 radios don't seem to have the option of bluetooth as it wasn't an in car option then. If other people that have/don't have bluetooth could look to see their radio build dates (a sticker on the top of the radio chassis at the front) and check if they have the BT ON/OFF when you press and hold MENU. This could prove if you have to have a certain build date of radio before retrofitting bluetooth.
  10. I'm thinking that too, The Ford chaps said that my car has phone prep vp. Whatever that is. It does seem strange that there is no BT on/off on the menu like the online manual says. page 14 of pdf http://fordfcsd.wunderman.be/UK/Audio%2 ... 1-2006.pdf
  11. been to ford this morning. Did a test on all the modules connected to the car - all ok Re-installed the Audio Control Module. Connected a fiesta 6006 radio that hey had lying around with a build date of 2006. As soon as it plugged in - it worked!!!!! Had access to Last calls, Calls in, Phonebook all from the headunit!!! apparently when I made a call back home on the system my girlfriend could'nt tell the difference between the car and using the handset. Plugged the Sony Gen 1 back in - Nothing So the conclusion is 1. The loom I have is not compatible with the Sony. 2. The Son
  12. That was my last port of call. I should be able to buy and sell for very minimal cost.
  13. Sorry was getting all confused!! appreciate the help. Just waiting to go to Ford. See if they can update the software in the headunit. I really hope it works. The car is in bits at the min. It may be that my car was produced before the introduction of the bluetooth, 54 plate 05 but i think the build date is may04
  14. Timbo, thanks for doing that mate. I wanted to know if you need 3 wires to enable the voice functions. Handy to know that mine is the same as yours, when you come to fit adv b/tooth +voice yours may work?? Does someone have voice and bluetooth that can look at theirs for me. If I do need the third wire I can run it to the headunit. Here is a copy of the quadlock pinouts. I think the voice wire from the remote stalk may go to the B connector pin 12 (AVC). (if you need it) http://img458.imageshack.us/img458/9897 ... ord8hx.jpg
  15. Had another look at the wiring tonight. I removed the remote stereo control column and looked at the wiring. there are 3 pins on the old one and 3 pins on the new one but only 2 wires to the connector from the stereo. Wondering if there is meant to be 3??? Can someone remove theirs (car with working bluetooth and voice) to see if they have 3 wires in the connector. Really easy to do this. Just get small screwdriver, there is a recessed lug on the dash side next to where the audio column meets the steering column. 20 sec job to remove and refit!!!
  16. love to know all the prog modules mate. would be a good help when i go back to ford i'm in lincs areas
  17. update Timbo01 - all the bluetooth functions work ok - its just the stereo appears not to have any bluetooth options. Strange, because it's a Sony Gen 1. I've read in quite a few posts the people with the same headunit have retrofitted it Saw that you have the pre-wiring for the mic. You may have the other cable tucked under the dash somewhere? Worth a look. I know other manufacturers pre-wire optional extra looms eg BMW. I'll do the same myself. Went to Ford on monday, lots of messing about (3hrs) looking for programmable options. Re-loaded the SRM module (not sure Safety Restraint????).
  18. Hello to everyone. I've just got myself a 54 plate c-max ultima in panther black. I'm going to be doing a few things to it (with the help of of you guys and gals). First off was retrofit the adv bluetooth/voice. Already have sony 1st gen headunit Got the cable, control unit, stereo remote, and mic all connected up nicely. When I press "phone" on the headunit.......nothing Nothing when I press the "voice" button on the remote either. The bluetooth hooks up to the phone as "Ford Audio" and it seems as if it is connecting ok. I've noticed in the options in the online documentation
