  1. Might be worth suggesting to the garages to further investigate items such as coolant temperature sensor and TDC sensor as both could cause these intermittent starting problems, I did however read somewhere that there were some ECU and engine faults reported on these cars , think it was What Car review, so the question also is; are there known faults with some ECU's that FORD know about but are reluctant to confess to the customer etc, I do know for a fact that this is the case with some other manufacturers! If any of you have e.g a Bosch fuel injection specialist near you it may well be worth
  2. Cheers for that mate, but what I noticed with the cap wasn't relly like a ratchet as such as with the fuel cap it was more like a sort of notch if you like when it appeared to come to the end of tightening it and felt quite stiff to screw down as if it were cross threading (don't think it was though), does that make any sense? Cheers Pete
  3. Just been doing some underbonnet checks and found firstly the coolant cap is a very tight scew on thread, thought it was cross threaded at first but kept tightening it until there was like a click of sorts! don't think it was on tight in the first place, possibly hence the condensation in the tank ? also there are two overflow outlets at the top of the tank and one (left one)is blanked off, is this normal ,as well as the above mentioned cap issue. Sorry to rant on! Cheers Pete
  4. Anyone tried/ fitted a front centre armrest made by a company called ARMSTER in their car? Thinking of getting one as mine doesn't have one fitted as standard Cheers Pete
  5. Stop start in traffic this morning and noticed that if I shift into neutral (manual gearbox) foot down on the clutch then @ very slow speed somewhere around almost walking speed , then let foot off clutch with it still in neutral , the revs start to go up slightly then as car comes slowly to stop, revs start respectively going down to normal tickover! seems a bit odd or is it somehow linked to abs or speed sensor? anyone else noticed this , if any of that above makes any sense!! Cheers Pete
  6. Cheers mate , puts my mind at rest there. Cheers Pete
  7. Took the car on it's first long run (since I've had it) and noticed slight vibration through front seats @ around 70mph 'ish , not really felt through steering wheel as such, so wondering if it's rear wheel balance issues or is it normal due to firmer suspension etc (compared to my old omega) cheers Pete
  8. I've noticed what appears to be condensation on the inside of the coolant never seems to disappear, anyone else found this? Cheers Pete
  9. I think you're right there, cheers mate
