  1. I've ordered mine from Haynes. I looked on Amazon and it would have been a little cheaper but I was put off by the 1 to 4 weeks delivery.
  2. Thanks, that looks a good site. Moo :)
  3. Can anyone recommend a reasonably priced fault code reader for petrol Focus? Thanks Moo :)
  4. Many thanks for the replies. I think I shall do as zetecste says, use it for an interim oil change as well as servicing it at the dealer. Moo :)
  5. I know, that's what I'm thinking as well. I wonder if anyone has done any tests, for example sucking the oil out and then taking the sump plug out to see if any still comes out?
  6. Hello What are people's views on using oil extractors (such as the Pela) for changing engine oil? Good / bad / don't know? Do you think they get all of the oil out? Moo :?
  7. :( I have phoned the garage and taking it in on Thursday morning. I am not using the car today but need to use it Wednesday. I shall have to hope it doesn't do any damage. Tonight I shall take a picture of the oil level on the dipstick and show them it. The oil is very clean and hard to see but to me it's about 1cm too high. Many thanks for the replies. You confirmed what I suspected. :( Moo
  8. Hello Recently hasd my 1.6 Zetec petrol serviced at a Ford garage. On checking the oil at the weekend (engine cold and on the flat) the oil is about 1cm above the MAX mark on the dipstick. Should I be concerned? What might happen? Should I take it back and get them to suck a bit out? I assume they use a suction thing, most garages do these days. Thanks Moo
  9. Many thanks. It's due the second service in a month's time. However I think I may take them out and just clean them, perhaps put a bit of copper grease on the threads as well so they don't seize in. Moo :D
  10. Hello At what age and mileage should one change the spark plugs - 1.6 TI-VCT? Is there any danger they can seize in, like the KA ones do apparently? Thanks Moo :D
  11. Anyone? I'm desperate - for advice
  12. Is it easy to remove the cover on the driver's seat (just the base cover). The one in my car is worn and got a fag burn. I bought a new cover from Ford dealer but need to fit it. Any ideas much appreciated, Moo :D
  13. Many thanks. It's due a service in about a month, I will get it looked at then. In the mild weather just now the problems has gone. :D
  14. Hello The boot on my Focus hatchback (2006 Zetec) has started to unlock/open on its own. It did it last night when I started the engine and again at the end of my journey (about five miles) when I turned the engine off. If I unlock the whole car the boot doesn't unlock, I have to do it specially by pressing the boot button on the key. However this morning all seems fine. I have done a google search and it seems that a number of owners have had problems but not all the symptoms seem the same. Also it may not be a widespread problem as there are so many Focuses around. One site I visited sug
