I've got no idea. My 2005 MK2 2.0l titanium does the same. I found it wierd at first after my previous Focus (1.6 MK1), but i'm used to it now. I can rest my foot at the lights now without it revving to 4000rpm :D lol

Just to confirm - for a MK2 Focus 2.0lt Petrol - K&N No.57-0595. This is the same kit used for the C-Max 1.8L so it may be advertised as C-Max rather than Focus. The kit fits though. Although it was a VERY tight fit on mine. The hose clamps only just fit round the filter when extended to the max & made it a c*** of a job to hold it all in place whilst i tightened them up :P lol Also, the breather pipe on my Focus was made of hard plastic rather than a rubber hose, so it didnt bend to fit on the filter. No problem though..... sharp knife and gaffer tape :D Sounds awesome though wh
