Thanks jamz,the picture says it all really looks like the weight of the hub when banged off has pushed the steering rack end onto the wishbone and broke something inside gaiter,will get onto them tuesday,and heads ill roll !! thanks again.

Hi again,just wondered if anyone can tell me why my 2007 1.8 zetec cliamate petrol,seems to be hot under the bonnet,if i drive say 20 miles at normal speeds,then lift the bonnet,i cant hold my hand on the top engine plastic cover for too long,it seems almost too hot.I changed my spark plugs the other day approx 2 hours after driving it and when i got the plugs out i couldnt hold them they were scorching,thank you all again.

Hi all,just had eibach lowering springs fitted to my 2007 zetec climate,wife drove it back from garage and said steering is really stiff on turning,so i took it for a drive and could tell that its not right,so drove into fords and they tell me the steering rack is leaking from the gaiter,just my luck,cant contact the other garage that fitted them till tuesday,but was wondering was it neccassary to touch the steering rack to change the springs?or does anyone no what might have happened,quick replies would be appreciated,thanks.

Hi,just bought set of st indicator mirrors for my 2007 1.8 climate and was wondering if anyone can tell me how to wire them,they have a connector plug on them,and my car will have a plug for existing electric mirrors,but there wont be a connection for the indicators will there?if not what colour wires will i need to splice into on the st side,quick answers much appreciated,thank you.c.w.

Hi you can get a pair of plastic strips that fit to the outside of rear window to each side to stop water running in to the boot,16.02 from fords.

I was quoting ref for a petrol model mine is a 2007 climate 1.8,diesels would have a filter thats easy to access as they need changing more often etc.

Oh i forgot to say they are approx 130 quid plus labour of removing the tank.

Hi,fuel filter is in the tank,it is all one big module,pump,filter sender unit,etc,they have a service interval of 100k miles so wont need changing for normal reasons.I know this as i bought flood damaged focus and had to drain the tank,as there is a tiny breather hole on top of tank which let water in.Hope this helps.
