  1. hey guys, i checked out the car again today in the daylight and i think you might be onto something with the door alignment. the drivers door does seem slightly out on alignment. Check these pics out of both front doors taken from roughly the same angle from under the door mirror. http://cmaxtdcizetec.150m.com/Image(351).jpg http://cmaxtdcizetec.150m.com/Image(352).jpg Hope the images work ok on the links. Ill be visiting my ford dealer next week, hopefully they will offer some explainations and suggestions and arrange to sort it out. If any of you have anymore views/suggestion
  2. fairly lightlym but a heavy foot emphasises the prob. its only when you put your foot down
  3. I dont think that there is any door alignment problem to be honest as it seems to be fairly flush but i will check this. When i took the pictures i had the door open yto get a better angle on them. Im gonna be making a trip to the dealership where i bought the car soon with a list of problems not just this. But i think ill get her washed first then the rust probs are more obvious I certianly wasnt expecting anything like this after 18mths, well under 12 in our hands. Needless to say it is very disappointing, the other niggles are just that, niggles but this is a little more serious Any f
  4. My Sept 2003 C-max has developed another annoying feature, as well as the rust as discussed in another thread. It appears to make a banging noise when you put you foot down to the left hand side of the drivers and right of the passenger footwells. This is particularly annoying as it is where my left foot sometimes ends up after changing gear. When you put you foot down it makes like a clunking sound. I dont know whether this is a common mnise or whether there is a fault with the car. Does anyone have any ideas?
  5. Thanks i wondered what the problem with the pics was, sorry bout that every1. Anyone know of a free host that will allow hot-linking then? Anyway more to the point are there anymore views/advise about the rust developing on the car and what appears to be the lack of laquer on the door? Your comments are much appreciated
  6. oh, the pictures are showing when i go on the post, or is it that you can see them in enough detail?
  7. This is the state of my front member just behind the grill of the front bumper. This car is a September 2003 2.0TDCi Zetec, surely there should not be rust on it! Whats more is that that isnt the only loction of rust on the car. Th drivers door is a mess. Get a loada these pics The right hand edge of the door The left hand edge of the door The Bottom edge of the door on the left hand side Thats the insie of the door at the top The bottom edge of the door at the right The bottom Edge of the door The bottom edge of the door again It even appears as though its gonna start on the inner
  8. my boot lid goes up extremely slowly, it almost needs a bit of assistance to get going in lifting the lid. It didnt used to have that problem its only recently that its started doing it. Should i get ford to take a look you think?
  9. Hi there, my rom level and NVM Target rom are showing as 040D, does that need an upgrade on it? What difference will the upgrade make? I know that currently my trip computer reads some 5-6mpg lower than the actual fuel consumptiona and the car averages around 46mpg calculated (41 indicated) is this resonable for mixed driving in the penines?
  10. hey this is my first post on here, i dint know it existed until recently. I've seen lots of people claiming to be the youngest c-max driver, but at 18 i recon i am and i love it, mines a 2.0tdci zetec, and i love it, lots of power! Anywawy back to the point of the thread. I had a few problems a couple of months ago with the boot not opening except with the remote on the fob and it opening itself when travelling down the road. I took it to my local ford dealer and they had to replace the boot handle, took them 2 wks to find 1 tho cos ford dint have any. It fine now though, so id say that i
