  1. Hi, Is there anyone that has a step-by-step instruction or a picture on how to remove and replace the front door panel on a Focus II?? It seems like the bolts and nuts are well hidden... :( .. Cheers SweFocus
  2. Yes, I'd like to know that as well :) It works just fine with the Transit Connect light :) I have installed the lamp with 2 map lights from the Transit Connect on my Focus II. It fits directly, and all you need to do is cut the extra wire on it. The Finis code is 4405351 on the lamp i mounted. It did cost about a third of what the Ghia-lamp would cost.
  3. No, this is actually standard on some models, diesel and 2-liter I think, so the only effect it should have is to reduce the engine noise a bit. :D :D
  4. Hi again, I have now ordered and received an under bonnet sound barrier. It's actually called insulator in Ford language and has number 1355010. It was delivered complete with plastic plugs to fasten it with, and installed in about 3 minutes. The result was just as I expected it to be. :D The sound from the engine was reduced and it made the sound from the engine at speeds over 60 miles/hour much more pleasant. The high freqvencies especially were reduced and the sound from the engine was somewhat "muffled". IMO this is a good investment as the pricetag is like 600 SEK which would be about
  5. It's the outside of the rear door, and the rear part of the window.
  6. Hi, I have seen in some posts that people complain about windnoise when they testdrive the new Ford Focus II, and specially from the rear windows. I had also this problem on my Focus II and I noticed that the problem had to do with the rubber round the rear window. There is a platic plate that is supposed to press the rubber against the window (see picture). If this plastic plate isn't firmly attached to the car it will not produce enough pressure against the window, which leads to wind noise. This was fixed for me at the dealer with perfect result. This specific problem is probably relat
  7. Hi, I do not have it on my car (Focus II 2005, Ti-VCT) either, but I sure would like to have it. I had it on my previous Focus I and found it useful. I know that there has been a long discussion on the german Ford Focus forum about this too, http://www.ffcd.de/forum/index.php?topic=26817.0 so IMO this is definitly an issue that should be directed to Ford for a possible future software update. Cheers,
  8. Hi again, x-rayted: Why didn't you get the roof rails. They look very well in a new focus SW, IMO. I have the roof rails for 2005. On my previous SW (2003) they looked different. They were some centimeters above the roof, but these are "in the roof" with places to fit the horisontal rails on. focusghia: Has it got headlamp washers ? Yes, they are standard equipment in Sweden. They pop out a bit and spray the headlamps when you press a button.
  9. Hi, here are a couple of pictures of my Ford Focus Mk2. The color of the car is called sublime and I think that this is a color that you don't have in UK. It's a Focus sold in Sweden and equipped with a First Edition Pack. Some data about the car: The serie is called Trend in Sweden and I think it's like your LX series. First Edition Pack includes 15 inch alloy wheels, leather steering wheel, fog lights, Quickclear heated windshield and cruise control. This car also has an Ti-VCT 115 hp engine, ESP and automatic climate control, Sony MP3 player, 2-way electric power seat, manual
  10. The 1.6 Ti-VCT that I have has just bare metal on the inside of the hood, so there is no sound barrier whatsoever. It sounds (!) like a good idea to buy a sound deadener like the one Fosbo did. :D
  11. Hi, I'm also interested in knowing if there are more "sound deadeners" on GHIA or Titanium models. I did a test drive in a GHIA with 2 liters petrol and I found it to be more quiet than the 1,6 ti-vct I usually drive. How much would buying the under-bonnet soundproofing actually reduce this sound? Are there more differences? :?: Cheers S-E B
  12. Hi all, I'm new to this forum and I find it very interesting to read and see what other people think of the new Focus. I noticed that we in Sweden have another colour to choose from, namely Sublime which is a colour that really stands out I think. It's a light green colour which IMO fits great on the new Focus. See a Swedish version of "Build your own Ford" at: http://www2.fordconnection.com/fordconn ... cleType=pv The word Färger equals Colour in Swedish. Cheers, SEB
