Hi guys, I purchased a new set of MK2 dials off eBay: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/FORD-FOCUS-MK2-PE ... =72%3A1689 but they have to be wired in to the lighting system seperately. I have a red wire and a black earth wire but don't know where or how to wire it in. I know there is ways of wiring it in to the light control switch I think but am not sure and don't know how to fix it - does it have to be soldered?? Any help much appreciated as night driving is no fun without illuminated dials :shock: Thanks!

Does anyone have a fitting guide for a MK2? I don't know what size they are and how easy they are to fit, can anyone help? Also I know you sometime have to get an adapter, is this the case on the Focus? Thanks.

I currently have the K&N replacment filter installed, however I thought an induction kit works better providing it has cold air. I thought because you could fit one in the existing filter box (on my 07 Zetec it has a cylinder filter) it would then eliminate the hot air problem?

If you fit one inside the existing air filter box will it only suck in cold air therefore be worthwhile?

on my petrol 1.6 zetec, 3000 rpm is 65 mph in 5th.

I had the glovebox issue for ages - didn't drain the battery. Had to jam some plastic in it to stop it turning on. Will let Ford fix it when it gets serviced.

i asked this a while ago apparently it is not adjustable - it just stays on for a few minutes. dont think it will use a lot of poweer though...

is the plastic tray underneath the bumper actually impotant or can i just leave it mashed up??

The cat is sadly no more. :( I was worried it might have been splattered on the front of the Focus but it just mashed up the underneath of my bumper.

Hi guys, Just had a cat sprint out about half a meter in front of the car and unfortunately nothing I could do other than hit it. Have checked the damage and the plastic panel that runs under the front bumper is badly damaged and in need of replacement...anyone know where i can order one? It looks easy to fit. Thanks.

It's a 1.6, don't think its the Duratec. According to the K&N website the panel filter was replaced with a cone filter by Ford in all 1.6 models from 08/07. Wonder why?

It turned up today but it doesn't fit! Unlike to Focus here: http://www.ffoc.co.uk/modules.php?name= ... c&t=175415 mine has a different air filter box...its round and the stock one is not a panel but a cylinder :? Is this normal? And what would be the correct aftermakret part for this? Thanks!

hi guys, wanted to change the air filter on my 2007 1.6 zetec to something better. does anyone know what to get and where to get it from?? thanks.

I need to fit a new headunit as the current one seems to have a lens problem as it starts crackling in the middle of the cd on every cd. I have tried lens cleaners and it just wont work, and it gives me an excuse to get a bluetooth one anyway. Do I need any adapters for my steering wheel controls or do I just need the HU and removal keys and fascia? Also completely off topic...what is the parking lamps setting for on the lights switch?? Thanks Alan! I really hope its not the head gasket its only got 11k on it! I will have a look though and see what the coolant tank is doing on my journey back and check for anything creamy under the oil cap.

Well I think the grille was clear. I had a look yesterday and could see nothing and drove round for an hour and it was fine! However today I was stuck in traffic for a couple of hours and it came back. It comes in through the vents and was making me quite light headed this morning. I am honestly stumped... :?

Yes I was using both front and rear heated windscreens but they were not on when it started smelling! The heater was though. I am going to check the engine bay at lunch but I know its all sealed up with plastic covers being a new car so trying to know what to look for! It only started smelling after about 40 minutes on the motorway but it was really strong and sickly...

Hi guys, I braved the weather to travel to work today. As I got close a very very strong smell of chemical burning rubber came in to the cabin. It definetly wasn't a clutch smell. All the guages were reading normal and there was no warning lights although someone said it might have been the fan belt or timing belt burning up?? Anyone have any idea what it could be and what to look for under the bonnet? Its a 1.6 2007 Zetec. :?
