So these clips have to go through the leather ? Or are there already holes present ? Whilst on the subject... what Car seats are ppl using in the cmax ? I need 2 (kids are 5 and 2) and so I was looking at : Recaro Young Sport and for the older one : Jane Indy Plus Team Anyone used this or other good isofix chairs ? Cheers Matt

Think thats the perimeter alarm.. as you can add a Cat 1 option to the Zetec Cmax..

I sat in the S-max at the weekend.. the rearmost seats would be ok for kids.. but no adults would want to sit there.. and with them the boots space is pretty useless. It was nice to sit in.. felt well out together.. and very spacious with the dual glass roof sections..

How are the s-max and new galaxy positioned ? I was surprised to hear of the new gaalxy as I thought the S-max was its replacement ? Surely the range does not need 2 seven seaters ?

Hi.. Very confused as to the isofix fittings in the cmax. The sales brochure says its isofix ready.. and the small print mentions a additional cost dealer fit kit. Then the spec list says it a no cost option.. Whats the truth ? Do I need to specify it on my order to ensure it gets added.. or do I need to by something else once the car arrives ? Very confused :) Also I was told on my zetec order I could not have both keyless entry and the cat 1 alarm upgrade. I cannot see why as the ghia can have both.. anyone know the truth on this. (the ford configurator does not let u have both.. jus

All done... my dealer was 2k short of the broker price.. so ordered through them.. Went for the 1.6 as it seemed nippy enough for us in the test drive.. just got to wait now and with the factory holiday it may be sept before I get it (though it would be on the new plate:) ) I did manage to add 4K of extras on the zetec though :) Thanks for the help! Ah ok.. looking at the ford configurator I can only choose the 90ps or the 110 DPF :( List price is £1000 between the 1.6 and the 1.8... So many decisions.. though I think I am test driving the 1.8 at the weekend... Thanks Matt

Yep DTD rang me this morning.. and said that due to the spec level I wanted it would be a build order hence 8-10 weeks and the price I was quoted would be £600 more as some of the current Ford offers end at the end of june so I would miss them. Still excellent for the money imho.. just got to really decide on the spec I want (though xenon and leather is a must so I suspect even if that was it I would still need to have it built :) ) I am using my one account to pay for the car so no need for finance..so I can buy and then sell the focus.. just being lazy though if I could part-ex it for a

ok... I have sussed Q's 8,6,5,4,3 So still interested in whether 1.6 or 1.8 diesel is the best to go for (decided to go for 17" rims :) ), and is the EPB a big mistake ? Also is there anything to watch for ordering through a broker ? Got a test drive at the local dealers saturday... will take the drivethedeal quote with me and see what they can do and what part ex I can get on a 4 yr 2L Zetec focus... Thanks everyone... after 4 years hassle free focus motoring (and with 2 small kids) I'm very interested in any possible issues! I'm looking to order through drivethedeal (unless my dealer can match the price) and I want a zetec with all the extras like leather so I presume it would be a build. Hi... After pricing up a cmax using drivethedeal, and realising the savings to be had (along with savings for roadtax/insurance over my 2L zetec focus) I'm very tempted to get one. So I have a few questions I would like some advice on before I part with the cash :) 1. I have been looking at the Zetec and Ghia models, now price wise the difference is negligible..(I'm after the works, leather, xenon etc etc). Is the Electric hand brake a good idea ? It seems from threads here its a pain if the car dies (and needs towing) and it seems to have a effect on the wear of the pads/discs ? So what
