  1. i think it's a bi-colour led - amber or red depending on the warning that is normally displayed in text e.g. drivers door open (red?), washer fluid low (amber?)
  2. just did this service on an 06 1.6 focus i bought, parts (oil, filter, air filter, plugs) from ford for about £40/50 and did it myself. warranty is up (which doesn't generally cover a fat lot anyway) so did it myself. while i was at it I took all the wheels off (rears seized) and put some copperslip on the hubs too. easy enough, don't get too excited by a dealer stamp myself, prefer to see the receipts for work done. (oh and the sump plug and oil filter had been seriously overtightened by the last garage to service it - good to know you pay for this!) dave
  3. ditto apart from try and avoid filling up at the motorway services, thieves
  4. handbrake sorted, trim is a bit fiddly though - managed to break a few clips but araldited them back on :-)
  5. ah, this covers it nicely: http://www.ffoc.co.uk/modules.php?name= ... c&t=164939
  6. please, someone must know :-) don't make me take it to the stealers... thanks, dave
  7. Hi, I've read in this section how to adjust the handbrake using 13mm socket. However, what's the best way to get access to it - remove the handbrake gator or plastic trim around handbrake? Whats the best way to remove the above? -- the gator seemed hard to remove and I didn't want to break it! The plastic trim had no obvious clips to prise open. TIA, Dave (My girlfriend just got an 06 5dr zetec climate, a welcome return after having a mk1)
  8. anyone see the sunday times yesterday? shoot-out between the golf gti and focus st. the focus came out on top :-) dave
