  1. My old ST 170 remote key did that, I think the remote has probably lost its frequency setting! Check your users handbook, as it tells you how to re-program it, its basically turning the ignition on & off about 4 times in a minute, and pressing buttons on the remote!!
  2. Yeah, that's what I thought, but all I can find is the vin sticker when you open the drivers door! Does anyone know what part of the vin plate refers to the trim code?

  5. Thanks guys, I thought as much, I am booked back in next week! Whilst I'm here, I think the CMax may have the early fuel warning fault! It gives the 'Low Fuel Warning' and the trip says '0' miles left, when the needle is still half way between the empty and 1/4 full mark. The other thing was, can someone tell me what exactly should be under the glovebox in the passenger footwell covering the fusebox? Is there supposed to be a proper cover or just a flimsy bit of material with a picture of the fuses legend on the back? Mine has this flimsy material, but its just hanging loose, there seems t
  6. Hi there, new to the forum, and just wanted to ask a couple of questions. I have just bought a 2nd hand 1.8 Zetec, and I think I have a radio problem. When it was purchased, the Ford dealer replaced the stereo with a newer 6000cd (silver central volume knob, and buttons), as the old one wasn't working properly. The problem is, that when you try to use the Balance /Fade button, I only get the option to 'Balance' and NOT 'Fade. Subsequently I can't get the rear speakers to work, the main front speakers and tweeters are the only ones working! I did manage to get the unit out, and all the plugs
