car was in garage today. turns out it was a dodgy battery that was causing the problems. i hope that is all.

I jump into my focas, the windscreen is clear, i start the engine, and all of a shot the windscreen goes white. Have to sit for a few minutes with the heated screen on till it clears again.

Yup. Not sure about the headlight thing but mine had to spend a week having a new cluster fitted after a complete instrument/security system failure 250 miles from home. :( :( :( At least the CD worked while I waited for the AA... 12r. I am not mechanically or electrically minded but what is a cluster. and what exactly happened to your car. i need to know to tell the dealer. Did she start acting like mine.

I can see where you are coming from. Some cars have a flap that you pull round then stick the key into the filler cap to open it. Simple mistake to make.

Over the last few weeks my zetec climate has suffered some minor electrical faults. Firstly when you start the engine the headlights blink on and off. Secondly the warning chimes deactivate themselves. Thirdly the illuminated part of the radio incorporating the clock goes blank. Fourthly the immobiliser warning light blinks like mad when the engine starts so i turn the engine off and start it again and its ok. these problems only happen now and again and not all together. Anybody else have problems like this.

never heard of this before. i have a zetec climate and it does not have that function. unless its available on the ghia.

Can anyone on this planet help me with a nigling problem. The clock in the 6000 cd radio runs ebout 3 minutes slow. I tune it in manually and after 5 minutes it goes back 3 minutes. Its very annoying. please help.

The headlights are switched off. but when i start the car they blink on and off.

This last couple of weeks i have noticed that the headlights blink on and off when i start the engine. It is a 1.6 zetec climate. Has anyone else noticed this problem and do you know how to fix it.
