  1. Evil Homer You have the right part. But your selecting the wrong plug. The one with 2 rows of 3 is the Air Bag on/off plug - don't use that! The plug your looking for is tucked up above the metal bracket that holds the air bag canister. It's a bit difficult to get at but if you release the push in tie holding the wiring you can then carefully fiddle it to the right so that you can unravel the tape holding the plug and wire together. This then gives you enough wire to get to the socket. You have to drill your own 20mm hole for the socket in the flat area you refer to. Snap in the so
  2. If you haggle like hell you can still buy a New Focus at a main dealers at considerably less than the list price. Offered 15%, went to walk out, eventually got 20% off mine. Brand new, 14 miles, no owners. My last Focus was Pre-Reg got about 18% off that but I think dealers are even more bendy now.
  3. Depends on whether you have the AUX button on the radios or not. If you have then see this: http://www.ffoc.co.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?t=105548
  4. Yes, you have to remove the glove box. 7 torx screws and it just slides out. Correction to what I said above:- I didn't need to glue it, what you must remember to do (which I didn't) is to click the front grey bit back into the body of the socket, this then locks it in place and even with a 20mm hole it is solid. Also if you don't click it back the 3.5mm plug won't go right in properly with some very weird audio results. All whizing now. :D
  5. Cost £2.93 from Ford Main Dealer Parts. Fitted it in. Unravel the tape around plug in picture above. This gives about 10 inches of lead. You then snap it into the back of socket (part 1310208). Had to drill a hole in the correct position in the glovebox and then the socket should snap in. Ideally I think the hole needs to be 19mm but only drill I had was 20mm so socket was a bit loose. Had to resort to Araldite to firm it up but seems solid now and looks OK. All you need then is a 3.5 stereo plug to plug lead (from Maplins if you havn't got one) one end into the glovebox socket the
  6. Just picked up the part. Part No 1310208. Going to fit it now and see if it works?
  7. Just been looking under the bonnet on my new Focus and see that Fords have positioned the Battery under the bulkhead lip. Looks impossible to remove the battery without having to tilt it out at 45 degrees - not a good idea. Have I missed something?
  8. I've just been into my local Ford Agents Parts Shop and ordered this part. Bloke said 2-3 days.
  9. I have a Moondust Slver Zetec and have had a good look at this bumper mismatch issue on my car. True when I look at the car standing up from about 6 feet away it does look as if the bumper is slightly darker. But when I get down on my hands and knees and look at the adjoining panels together on equal angles with the same type of light reflecting on them, I can tell no difference. I believe that this is a condition of the light reflection on the different angle of the bumper to that of the wing, the paint on each looked at from similiar angles does match but the differing angles you view
  10. How can you test the stated alarm on a Focus Zetec. The Alarm is only armed when you lock the car so I don't see how you can check it without forcing the door open. Obviously don't want to do that??
  11. My Zetec Climate is a 5 door hatch with a W in the Vin so seems to be made in Spain. This seems to buck the trend on what's being said on here.
