  1. I ordered the McGard Ultra locking nuts from Halfords, took about a week, cost £36.99, they fit no problem. The Ford locking nuts that came with the car (made by McGard) are better than the old ones so fingers crossed.................
  2. For the rattle at the rear try driving about with the rear seats folded down, if the rattle disappears it's likely the latch/hook that the seat locks into when in the upright position. I had this problem on my 2003, 3 door MP3, the dealer replaced both latches under warranty although only one was rattling. (Sounds obvious but also make sure there isn't a locking nut or something rattling around in the boot.) Good luck.
  3. Thanks OptiX2K. I've got the standard McGard which I've used on my MP3 Focus and subsequently the ST170. I remember a thread somewhere that said they weren't that effective so will get the McGard Ultras. A quick look on google shows you can get them for about £35 but I'll check with the Ford dealer first and see if they stock them and offer the Ford employee discount. Found this review: http://www.autoexpress.co.uk/product_te ... bolts.html Anyone got experience of a digital tilt sensor over a standard mercury type ?switch ?
  4. Hello all, I've just joined the forum and hope someone can offer advice if ti hasn't been covered already. I've got an ST-2, 3dr, blue arriving March 1st. Alloy theft seems to be rife at the moment in Essex and your're especially at risk with a brand new car with perfect wheels and unused tyres. I've already got a an extra set of McGard locking nuts but the dealer recommended the addition of an anti-tilt alarm for £199 plus vat. Brentwood In Car quoted £150 inc vat and the company on the link below are quoting £65 plus VAT. http://www.covert-installations.co.uk/alarmadd.html Has
