  1. Finally got one cut at a small independent key cutter....after a recommendation from the smallest of the dealers here in Glos. We're obviously a bit slow off the mark down here - none of "Bristol Street Motors" have a cutting machine that can do Mk2's yet apparently!
  2. We've got 4 dealers here in the County but allegedly none of them have the cutting machines!
  3. Hi I was just wondering if anyone has contact details for key cutters for new Focus keys? Needless to say, dealers in my area are pretty hopeless, and I've tried all the high-street cutters, so anyone who can do them would be helpful! Local to Gloucestershire would be great, but any further afield would also do... Wayne
  4. Hi Onslow Yes, I've used a couple of these on Metros that were hardly used and left standing for ages. One of them used to discharge its battery every couple of weeks (don't ask why SHE wouldn't buy a new one!), but with this doobrie put on the dash, we were able to leave it for a couple of months - started first time! Don't know if it makes a difference, but it also seems to give a bit of extra "push" in starting too.... Wayne
  5. No, I know its not a fault - its a "feature" :) Ford have issued a software update for a throttle lag problem, and I just wondered if they would do the same for "trivial" things like this too... I guess I'm just getting wound up about nothing really - if some little scrote wants the stereo then they'll have it, whether its lit up or no!
  6. Hi there I'm a 2005 newbie too, so treat me gently :) Has anyone found any clever ideas about how to solve this problem? Its such a stupid design "feature"! Will this sort of thing be fixed with a software upgrade, or is it just down to us sticking bits of film over the offending glow? Any thoughts appreciated!
  7. Ok, so we all know that this is a "feature"...those lovely little green glowing lights staying on 10 minutes after you've got out :? Has anyone got any clever ideas about how to either disguise or better still stop it happening? Is this the sort of thing that would be solved with a software release from Ford?
