  1. that's just a button to mute the radio/cd if you receive a call so that you don't have to switch it off/turn down the volume each time
  2. I took the car to the dealer, and had it put in place with adhesive. I preferred not to have them take out the windscreen at this stage, especially since the trim is 'cosmetic' and not significant in that the windscreen is bonded into place. So far , 1 week after it seems to be still in a good shape.. we shall see though how long it remains there without comign out again!
  3. Then do you think it's a good idea to de-bond the factory windscreen just to insert back this weather strip ? I dont think dealer will be able to seal/re-bond back windscreen to production line standard!.. I am tempted at leaving it as is... :?
  4. I notice that on mine, when i switch on the back-windscreen wipers, water does not reach on time, so on the first swoop the wiper blades have to do it on a dry surface. Also, if i open the hatch after it has rained, some water drains back down the hatch inside the compartment!
  5. Yes same situation, if I push it down it re-enters the groove, however as has been said it comes out after the next journey [probably due to vibration as the car is travelling over rough roads etc].. My main concern was that water would have entered between the roof and the inside roof cover, however dealer assured me that it will not as this rubber profile is there mainly to cover around the proper sealant on the windscreen.
  6. Just wanted to know if anyone else had the same problem as dealer said he never met with this before on Focus.
  7. well of course -- the car is still under warranty in any case dealer said it might be necessary to remove the windscreen and that is a very delicate operation which might break the windscreen.. so they have to check whether they have these screens at hand before i take it in.
  8. Hi the weather stripping around the windscreen of my focus 2005 has detached itself at the top. Does anyone have a similar problem? What remedies were taken? I hope I dont have to have my windscreen dis-assembled! Pix Thanks for any help.[/img]
