  1. S.O.B.A i think you will find the PSA engine (not just pug) is a joint venture with citroen, ford and peugeot. TDCI and HDI are just what each manufactuer wants to call them, end of the day they are the same engine. Xanadu, agreed, focus is much better than VAG equivilants (sp), ive just come from a 52 plate 2.5tdi Audi A4 quattro, to a mk1 focus 1.8 zetec to my new 1.6TDCI ghia, the TDCI wins hands down. regards, Dan
  2. cheers MJD! i'll give them a ring this afternoon!
  3. halfrauds tried autoleads, apparently they aren't made for the 05 focus yet, there is for the c-max though? ill enquire about the mondeo ones! cheers!
  4. i did think of that, but i dont have access to many tools, etc when im away from home, which is 80% of the time! not home on leave for a few weeks and wanted to get the speakers done asap! done the sub and amp install, just ned to put my speakers in, and somehow figure a way of routing a new speaker cable through to the door!
  5. Has anyone upgraded their front speakers yet? i was intending on doing them today, got the panel off, prepared myself to drill out the rivets only to find i'll need a speaker adaptor plate! i was thinking of using a mondeo one but was concerned aboutthe speaker depth? Any thoughts? autoleads dont seem to have made one yet? Dan
  6. Sorry.. just ben out in the car and realised it is only 2 buttons, one button is four way! sows how much ive touched it...! i've got the Ghia with the electric seat adjustment and leather seats, both driver and passenger has lumber support. would have thought all the focus range would atleast have lumber support for the driver???
  7. Have been driving a VAG Golf Plus for the last few days in work, ive counted about 15 things that r almost identical with my new shape focus! the gold plus isnt too bad, infact its pretty good but i think im being biased because it appears to be very similar to my foci!
  8. Hi, i've got the 6 way (i think), its the top one with 3 two way buttons. have to say... I LOVE IT! i wouldnt say it makes the seat comfier(sp) just makes life easier!
  9. i have ultra led's in mine;) and the courtesy lights, look cool!
  10. thanks for the swift replies! appreciate it, more gadgets to play with on the way home from picking it up later! :D :D :D cheers, Dan
  11. hi, picking u p my new tdci later on today, went to inspect it yesterday and test drive it. whiclt i was too busy playing with the electric seats and cruise control mymum said she noticed the cd player had a button saying 'phone' on it, i asked her if the radio was shiny black she said it was matt, like my old mk.1 focus 6000 series, so i presume its a 6000 model? does anyone know what this button is for, is it possible to link it to a phone car-kit?? btw the model is a Ghia, Cheers, Dan
  12. looks like i'll be telling the sat nav to avoid all motorways... probably end up doin 1000 miles in two days! :D :D :D is that ok, i mean run it in so quickly/over a short peiod of time?! cheers, Dan
  13. cheers for the replies, my dad has a citroen picasso with the same engine, he said he was recommended 1250 miles, i just thought that sounded a lot! thanks for the info! planning on a 550 miles return trip to bristol in it the day after i get it, just gonna stick the cruise control on about 55-60mph, will that be ok ?? Dan
  14. Hoping to pick up my new 1600 tdci at the end of the week, part ex'ing my 2001 1.8 zetec for it. from what i've read on here they should be about the same performance wise??? anyway... main question, how many miles do i have to run it in for? 500? 1000? 1250??? Cheers, Dan
