it is easy. remove the cd player & there is two t20 screws, the air controls are behide & you do not need to mess arround with these. un do the screws pull out and clip in the new one £45 from ford. refit the screws and cd player and enjoy

U can get an K & N Air filter on ebay for your motor & Superchips are working on a bluefin.

Has one got got the part numbers yet for the new ford kit??

I removed my K & N filter yesterday, as my car when in yet again. Ford have it more than me!! When I first fitted the K & N I thought it made a real improvement, however it is the same with the factory paper filter back in. :(

What do u think of the P21S Cleanser? Have not used that yet.

No mine is a petrol MkII. However am sure the gains would be better on the TDCI. As the turbo unit yours have will benfit more from increased airflow. I would not go for an induction kit. Ie Noice, Warranty & Heat soak. Well the K & N service information states it needs cleaned at approx 50,000 Miles. It also comes with a warranty for 1 million miles or 10 years. I would try it!! only costs £35.00 and if your not happy ebay it again should still get £25. Only really £10 to try. I was very unsure and turns out it was a good investment. Got my new sony cd unit. Straight swap from my 6000cd. Got the removal keys from Halfords £3.99 x2. Only thing that slowed me down was the cables in the back. they do not just pull out. There is a level on the clip, you lift and this removes the cables. So if any one has a 5000 and want to upgrade to cd, Sent us a message & we can deal. Tip top conditon. so much nicer looking and I think the sound is better too. I did not need to get mine set up on the WDS, Worked 100%. I got it from a gentle man on ebay. He was great to deal with and sent it ASAP. He seems to have lots more :D .

OK now had the K & N in for two full days. I can say it really does make the car rev smoother and far harder. It is meant to take a few days for the ECU to adjust, unless you do a reset. But i have not this and I can say the filter has made a good improvment. £36.00 well spend!!!

I under stand your views guy. but if you follow the links. it shows the level of dirt that passes through the K & N when compared to the ford paper filter. Well as you all know, mine arrived today. I decided to compare my paper with the k & N. To my horror the Ford item was as black as your boot. so much for them changing it last service!! I fitted the K & N. Took my car for a hell of a test driver 40 miles. It is smoother and when under full power, It DOES pull better. same as before when driven gently. But it relly improves pull when floored more so in higher gears. HOWE
