your welcome m8 - how could a stone a) get under the wiper and b) come up from the road at such force as the smack the windscreen and not danage the bonnet? If it hit that low then it must of been falling and not rising when it hit. I have been in a car when a stone hit and by god you hear it! Do not lose faith in the product - just take your money to another dealer. I really do not think you should have to pay the 50 notes to have your windscreen repalced. I would kick up a stink if I were you and take the car to another dealer. Did they fix the side seals also?

I do not think I know a CMAX owner who has a normal working fuel gauge. Our dealer says that replacing the sensor normally works - but alas that did not and now our tank reads empty when its full. FOrds have confirmed taht it will not override adn cut out and they are waiting for a fix from Visteon so we shall wait and see.

jeeeeeeez Chris - thats bad mate. No way would you have done that! Dealer is having a bubble if you ask me. I bet that has happened when they tried to get the screen out. I had a couple of problems with my phone kit - long story - anyway I went staight to the top - Paul Thomas -MD Ford OF Britian and it got sorted that day. I will email you his fax number. well our cmax went back yesterday to have the teh phone kit pre equip finished, teh DVD changed and the fuel light fixed. Got it back today -0 its dirty, marked, teh dash has not been put back properly, the phone still not installed as they are arguing with Fords over the parts needed adn the fuel light - well they changed the sensor and now the light is off but it says I have less than half a tank when you cannot get another drop of derv init. Not very good in my book. C

thanks for this - well me and my dealer are not best buds any more. Our top of the pops cmax went back today to have the cradle fitted for the pre equip phone kit and, wait for it, they had the Ford manual out and wait for it, yes they brokle the dash! Had to order a new part which meant the car was not ready and has had to stay there. And they have still not changed the DVD for the sat nav, cured the warning light for the fuel or even now given us the auto locking :( I am sad :(

I ahev black leather interior which is great when you haev a tow year old and nother on the way becuase it wipes clean! But what is the best way of looking after it? Fords safeguard system was 200 quid so I did not go for that, I have seen some autogylm leather conditionwe which looks good but is there any tips/tricks you guys know? whats good and what is not? C

Ok - so the lovely alloys ont eh Shia are already getting on my * * * * to clean. I have the autogylm wheel stuff which is good and some from Halfords hich I have not tired yet, although the pro shampoo of theirs I have is good. But what do you lot find is best for cleaning the wheels? Craig

the sat nav and six discs si the full dog swingers - love the way its all controlled with the touch screen, its just a shame the autochanger is not mP3 compatible like the slot iont eh head unit :( 12 weeks does seems long time - I would get on the case with your dealer and tell em to speed it up! :) On the cool box front - bloody typical :(

we have changed the remote locking sso that one click only unlocks the drivers door as the car is the ball and chain's and she feels safer that way - but what is a pain is that when the dumby forgets she has only pressed it once and then I go to get in teh passengers side (when she has pulled out of drive so engine going etetc) you cannot unlock teh passengers (and other doors) without pressing the remote again. You would have thought a little tug on teh door handle would do it but nope. c

My views, well we have clack leather and not cream, reason was I have a two year old and one on teh way and also teh black leather holds it value better on part ex so if you can, keep the black - you can see pics of my interior in the picture thread. We have ESP too, reason being mainly that we had it on teh ESP Focus before and that these CMax do not have traction control - young family and all that I wanted to play it safe. Nope - you are correct - just above the trip computer display is a large window that on start up displays the Ford Logo and then when the Nav is on it tells you the next turn and miles to taht turn so the driver donnee have to look at the screen. Tis da nuts for sure :)

I think thats a bloody good price, when you think I have leather esp and partking sensors on top and I paid 17800 i do not think they give us anythin like the good finacne or nectar or anything

that is smashing - can I ask what you pad for the cmax? The DVD sat nav is the nuts a few things you shgould know though - its made by Denso and its really good. However when it arrives make sure that the part number for the DVD ends in AB and not AA as AB is the latest version. There will be anew version out in Sept and the guy from Denso reackons it will cost about 180 quid! The otehr thing is that only the head unit plays the MP3's the underseat CD changer does not. our cmax was a straight cash buy and therefore they offered extra discount over the priv price which I was really pleased with. I did speak to my dealer about your ST and they have three at the mo (Dovercourt) and he wanted to know what colour it was. It does complicate things when there is a part x or finance thats true. C

it actually allows a difference of 4 degrees and is bloody well worth it with the women who are also bloody cold!

No, there is a DVD player bolted to the inside of the glovebox, so the single slot on the head unit takes the mp3 CD's so in theory it holds 8 discs! 1 x DVD, 1 x MP3 and 6 under the passenger seat. C
