remember this is not the only thing .... the brouchure mobile phone cradle cannot be fitted to six speed cars adn the phone gets knocked out so we have to have fitted a LHD phone cradle. Also - what are those vertical slits for?

Nope - I do not think so. The TMC works really well although only Classic FM seems to braodcast it. From what I have gathered and we have had ours for about a year, there is no way of playing naything lese via the screen adn you cannot hoolk it up like a Neo C

It has a points of interest function - so when you are entering the destination it can find petrol stations, etc. It can fin dthings liek Lego land and all of that. Then it has the Quick POI function which overlays icons on the screen as your travel. You can select the six icons you want (although it displays only one at a time). We have ours et up as parking so it shows all of the car parks. AS its touchscreen you can click on the icon and then on the info button and it gives you name and numbers etc. Other things are petrol stations, shopping centres, resturants, schools etc etc. De

Tim I have never seen a power outlet. There is a 12v int eh boto though (which is nto that handy) ;) C

A-ha - gotcha - no, the DVD player part of the sat nav only plays the map DVD - I have tried all sorts and searched high and low but no luck. The DVD player is in the glove box. The head unit has a signle slot player at the top - this takes CD's and will play mp3's. We also have an underseat CD changer whcih I thought would play mp3's but it does not :( So thats 8 slots in all :) C

THat aux heater thing had me baffled too - I think its only for the real cold palces like the Nordics - mind you there are not many butterflies here at the moment ................ I am not sure anbout hte dash - I normally use the MRs's flash duster thing - but I got a new Meguriars catlog today and they have some things in there ..... Glad you are loving hte sat nav - I normally use the quick POI left in parking mode - but its pretty good for finding places - apart from Ford dealres as they are not there by name but the old esso garages etc are. I am not sure either m8 - someone posted a link to a ford europe forum - the 3.5m jack works da nuts though to be honest ......... The MRs was well anti sat nav and now she wont have another car without it - or so she says ... its a bloody marvel I say. C

Hi wdb81 - yes indeed it does. In teh glove box where the DVD player sits (well its bolted to tht op roof of the glove box, there is a 3,5 mm jack in AUX and away you go. I have my pod through there and its cool. I hear that on the new focus (see focus 2005 thrtead) the aux has been repalced witha usb connector. C

Now they are all mended (you might still have a slight issue with the clock on the nav going to 10:00 when its below zero) - they rock. Enjoy Leight, enjoy :) C

Hi leighwilbraham Welcome m8. I presume you haev yu car now and are loving it?? Dont spose you wanna tell us what is was up for?? Interested to know what ours is worth witht eh sat nav and all that. Also - what version of the DVD map do you have AB or AC? Fianlly - the TV? I have spoken to Denso and there is no way we can have it on the sat nav screen, but they did not knwo about hte entertainment roof screen..... maybe?? Cheers C

no the nav system runs over the top of anything - it has sep vol and all that. once in it - you can switch between screens so you can go from mp3 to cd to radio to phone to nothing - no sound and it still talks to you - she quite posh but nice. also the display oin the screen such as next turn etc is also display in the multifunction display in the dash - so you do not even need to look at the screen. Keep telling ya all - its da nuts :) TMC worked a treat today - a bit of a hold up - it found it and re routed us no problems. LOVIN IT :) disney_Cjd

No worries - upi can repay the favour by letting me know what version disc you have (take it out and look at the last part of the part number - is it AB or AC? Then maybe you can back it up :oops: The system is really good though. The function is there is the C-Max to have the bluetooth module added but I am not sure about voice - we have the Ford pre - equip telephone pack for a 6100 Nokia and that was a pain to get donew but now its in and all intergrated its great. There is a aux 3.5mm jack that you can plug the pod into but no USB stick in ours :( On the MP3 front - NOTE - its o

We have the same system in our C-Max It rocks. The Nav part is made by Denso the stereo by Sony - its actually two units bolted together. Its a life saver I can say. The TMS works great and its pretty acurate. No M6 toll though :( Let me know what pics you want and I can take and post a laod C

sure - here is oneIhave to hand .... if you want want more just let me know. This is the start up screen - it hs a few finger marks from my 3 year old but when its lit these makke no difference.

I have had the Sat Nav for a year now on our C-Max - its a great system, and much better then others pals who have it in a CRV and in a Lexus. Its really good and you will love it. Iw ojld be itnerested to know what version of the DVD you get. Ford were fobbing us CMAx boys off with an old disc - they cost 160 quid to update so make sure you get the latest - i think that is version AC (check the model code on the DVD when you get it) Enjoy

Hi All Went to the dealer today who are really good and I like them. I had not actually warned them about the clock thing, but as usual they took it onboard and went to work. They contacted Ford technical and they sent a fax all about taking hte battery out and doing this and that and then inputting a code that changes each week. But this did not fix it - drat and double drat. They are going to work on the issue and fix it when the car goes in in March for its first service. C
