Twinport - what kinda name is that to give a car. It reminds me of a girl I once went out with from Grimsby, but thats a story for the pub...

Thanks for all the replies, I'll try and see if I can get hold of a rain/light sensor for the windscreen, but in the meantime, if anyone knows for definate that this is what I need, please let me know - CHEERS! :bowdown

We've never met up mate, thats why you've never seen it  - Think you're mistaking me for the TAX man! :2gunfire: But would like to meet you guys some time soon. Is there any forthcoming activity near Sheffield area?? -

Fitting a removable SatNav holder to the dashboard
Garck replied to Garck's topic in MK2 - Ford Focus 2005 > 2011
Hmmmmm, maybe your right! I could be a millionaire in less than 10 minutes. If you're reading this Mr Richard Branson, do you fancy helping me launch the new 'Virgin Satnav Holder'?? I'll give you 5% of the profits if I can have a go in your balloon, preferably during a flight that actually makes it around the world instead of being dumped at sea?? PS- I've used your train service and it's pants!  -
Your Focus already has an i-pod holder fitted!
Garck replied to Garck's topic in MK2 - Ford Focus 2005 > 2011
Eh up fella, I was missing for a while (fitting junk to my car probably) For some odd reason, most friends I know with Focus's didn't get their rubber mats either, it seems Ford dealers couldn't be bothered fitting them. They actually come in the glove box on delivery to the dealer. Look on ebay and see how many dealers are selling bits from your car   -

... Show off! Glad I don't have to stand next to you in the gents loo!   -
...But I'm just a mere mortal with a lowly Zetec Climate, so I was lucky to get a steering wheel as standard  . I promise to work harder at school in my next life - so I won't have to spend £50 buying Ghia and Titanium parts off ebay. (But at least I know I've saved thousands on the cost of my car instead of upgrading it at the time of buying it)

Just being blonde - ignor me - Yes the Fiesta one sits next to the gear lever 8) -
Ditto, whilst I would never call it a fast car, it is great fun above 4000rpm, when the engine comes alive.

It's the exact same MP-3 wiring kit as the Fiesta and Fusion. But the way I've fitted it means there's no wires trailling acros the car, and the i-pod is not hidden away in the glovebox. -
Thanks mate (hope you enjoy your new Ghia). Does your car have a small dome shaped sensor in the middle of the dash, almost up against the windscreen? If so, I have a sneaky feeling that could be the light sensor? But I'm not sure, so I'm hoping some techy from Ford might be able to help... :P 8)

Nice one fella, sounds like you must wear the same style flip-flops as me!   If you feather the right pedal, I'll bet you can get nearer 520-540 miles from a tank on a good run!

Here's a cheap mod, that's worth it's weight in gold especially in summer. Found on ebay for £7, it's a sunglasses holder from a wrecked Mondeo Ghia-X. 8) 8) 8) [web]http://links.pictures.aol.com/pic?id=0a50fxKPiPofGiQPNj0LkTsYwWknfYF1c8vbv4xQp5Fd3Ig=&size=m[/web] [web]http://links.pictures.aol.com/pic?id=0a50fxKPiPofGiQPNj0LkTsYwRls7NM*uvk5v4xQp5Fd3Ig=&size=m[/web]

8) 8) I've swapped my Focus gear knob for a Chromed Fiesta one, and think it looks cool. What do you think??? [web]http://links.pictures.aol.com/pic?id=0a50fxKPiPofGiQPNj0LkTsYwXnLYCB2rsMxv4xQp5Fd3Ig=&size=m[/web]

I've fitted a replacement headlight switch control panel, which now includes the 'Auto' headlight function. What else do I need to buy to make the auto headlights work? I'm assuming I'll probably need a light sensor, but where does it fit/plug in to? Any bright ideas??? (excuse the pun!!) 8) [web]http://links.pictures.aol.com/pic?id=0a50fxKPiPofGiQPNj0LkTsYwaEXFpK56ivBv4xQp5Fd3Ig=&size=m[/web]

I've just fitted map reading lights to my 2005 Zetec Climate, from a 2003 Mondeo Ghia. They only cost £10 off ebay. Fitting is simple, and it replaces the existing light perfectly, without the need to re-wire or cut anything. Ace!   [web]http://links.pictures.aol.com/pic?id=0a50fxKPiPofGiQPNj0LkTsYwTEG91hcNrkSv4xQp5Fd3Ig=&size=m[/web] [web]http://links.pictures.aol.com/pic?id=0a50fxKPiPofGiQPNj0LkTsYwT9j8krZ1phBv4xQp5Fd3Ig=&size=m[/web]

I know that lots of cars get screwed by scrotes who are looking for portable satnavs after seeing a rubber suction mark on the windscreen. So I've come up with a solution, using a phone bracket as a mounting... Firstly, buy a vent mounted phone bracket (it only costs approx £6). Carefully cut the round ball end off your satnav bracket, as shown. [web]http://links.pictures.aol.com/pic?id=0a50fxKPiPofGiQPNj0LkTsYwR8qcnM6FJXav4xQp5Fd3Ig=&size=m[/web] Then sand down a flat edge on one side of the ball. Carefully drill a very small hole in the centre of the flat edge of the ball, but no d

I've recently installed the MP-3 lead to the back of my CD6000, as supplied by Ford. But instead of fitting it to the glovebox area, I've fitted it in the centre consol, which I think looks much neater, and gives me better and easier access to my i-pod. All you need to do is run the 3.5mm aux lead under the centre tunnel, and drill an 8mm hole in the centre consol tray next to the hand brake, so the 90 degree angled end of the lead comes through. If you sell the car, simply replace the rubber mat, and nobody is any wiser! How cool is that!?!?!?  [web]http://links.pictures.aol.
