I've got a couple of issues with my mk2. Firstly, the car seems to pull to the left a lot, even though I've had the tracking done with no issues. Secondly, its not really an issue, but what is the actual warranty period on a focus for mechanical problems? Cheers Joel

It'll be interesting fitting an aftermarket HU to one of those. Although, the center point might be wide enough to fit one in, so I'm sure someone will make a faceplate which will hold a standard HU into that space. If so it makes it 3x better than the current way of doing it. Joel

I have a Toad AI606 fitted to my LX. Great alarm. Joel

Got a full set of osrams from powerbulbs. I must say I can notice the difference already even in daylight (although that could be just wiping all the bugsplat off the front with my hand while fitting. Joel

Might have to invest in a set, the standard bulbs seem quite dull. What are the difference between the H1 /H4 /H7 versions? Joel

I've noticed recently that when my clutch is fully depressed and the car is in gear, it creeps forward still. I never noticed this until recently. Is this normal? also sometimes when I change gear with the clutch down, it grinds as if the clutch is still up. Is it worth taking it to fords to get them to have a look, the car is still under warranty. Would they charge just for having a look? Joel

Not sure if these are issues or not, When I fire it up there is a strong whiff of fuel, and it sounds a little rattly when idling. Is this an issue I should get investigated, or is it normal? Joel

Heh, a motorway drive has pulled it out again. I'll be visiting Ford very soon. Joel

Quick question, should there be a cover over the steering linkage in the drivers footwell? After getting my car back from repaire I've only just noticed its not covered. Joel

Windscreen Rubber, WAS: Whistling Somewhere
JoelCant replied to JoelCant's topic in MK2 - Ford Focus 2005 > 2011
Its not a ford dealer specifically, but they do Ford servicing. I've not noticed it before, but now I look at the pics I took on the day I bought it, its obvious. Joel -
The connector. They are going to ring me when it comes in, cheers to the OP for the part number. Joel

Ordered my AUX lead, apparently they are on a stupid lead time from Germany. * * * *. Joel

Windscreen Rubber, WAS: Whistling Somewhere

Yeh, not best pleased with them atm, their supposed "Pre-delivery inspection" seems to be a load of tosh. They were supposed to have checked the tyre pressures too, and they didn't. Time for shouty shouty I think Joel -

I know what a the problem is. The rubber seal around the windscreen has popped out the groove it was in. http://www.linuxmod.co.uk/misc/images/p ... 08_640.JPG If you look round the top, you can see it. I've tried pushing it back in, but it just comes out again when I have been driving it. Seems a little unsafe to me. Going to ring the garage and see what they can do, I've not even had it a week yet. Joel -
I've noticed taking my focus above 40mph causes a whistling sound, like the kind you get when you leave your window open a tad. Any idea what it is, I've checked the windows / doors etc. Could it be the roof antenna? Joel

WHats the difference beteen pressing it twice, and pressing it once? Joel

New motor, picked it up last Thursday, only seen it long enough in the light to take some pics today Ford Focus LX 1.6 Standard spec, but first plan is to get an AUX jack fitted for my MP3 player, total cost for the part from Ford: £7.80. Going to splash out on a decent alarm and possibly a bluetooth phone kit next month. For the sake of £200, I may as well get a proper alarm in it, rather than the ford standard. I really want some Ford alloys for it, I don't want aftermarkets as it'll push my already stupid insurance sky high (£1200 for me, first car.). Gonna pop into the Fo
