Hi Guys, I have a Focus MSN group called Focus World. As you can probably tell from the group it's all about the Ford Focus. I currently don't have any C-MAX owners at all so it would be nice to have some to the group. Any input to this group is welcome. Hi Guys, I've had a look around on Ford "build your own" and in the engine section after you select your body style it now gives you an option of the 1.8 TDCi. I thought this was no longer an option ? Ian :D

Hi Guys, Just had a play around on Ford's website & went onto the build your own - new Ford Focus. I selected the 3 door model & it gave me the only trim option was the Zetec Climate - no others at all. Is this a small sign of heavy demand for the new Focus? Ian :D

Eack to their own I guess. Everyone's opinions & choices is what makes the motoring industry as it is...if everyone thought the same nothing would improve. Near where I live, I used to see an RS parked up on a drive (he wasn't part of any club) - yesterday had a bit of a shock as the RS is no more but instead has now 2 MK2!! One being a zetec. Amazing what goes on! Ian :D

James, I'm glad to see you finally took a test drive anyway...was it at Bansted? I also test drove a Ghia trim. But on the 1.6 TDCi. Even though I like the MK2, I am concerned at why Ford hasn't kept the 1.8 TDCi. The 1.6, 1.8 & 2.0 TDCi's are all very different in my opinion. Ian :D

You may get delayed as my mate works over in Germany @ Ford. There is so much demand for the new model, it has caused these delays to happen. The UK was allocated 9000 models for between Jan - Mar (before the 05 reg's come out) and these were sold out within 21 days after the launch. They are trying to up production currently. Believe it or not, the MK2 is one popular car! Ian :D

I probaly won't be this Saturday mate, I took the test drive at Dees of Croydon (where Pam got her car) - hopefully I will test drive the 2.0 TDCi at about 11.30am at Dees. They are calling me Friday to confirm the details. :D

Hi Guys, I thought it was about time that I took the new Focus out for a spin last Saturday after the launch & reviews. I currently drive a Focus Zetec TDCi (115bhp) & was interested to see what this new TDCI had in offer. I have to say I was very impressed with the car in all departments and I have driven quite a few. The car feels so much more grown up than the current one I felt, I thought the build quality was excellent so much better than VW. The interior was also just as practical as the current one in my opinion if not better. Certainly better build quality. The car

I really like the MK2 model. Looks very impressive in my opinion. People say the styling is boring, but I never ever expected the MK2 to be the same as the current one. Ford moved away from the new edge style a while ago. I say well done to Ford! Give the new one a chance :D

Where can you find the info on the insurance groups ?

I've been lucky enough to see both Ghia & Titanium models and have to say "I want one" You can easily tell it's a Focus, especially from the rear. I've sat in a Titanium and I seriously want one. I would have to go for a few options though, Song CD player, Sports Suspension, 18" Alloys That would do nicely for me as i'm not into mods. :D

The RS will have a whole new powerplant like none before...you have to trust me on this... It will be at least 300BHP & 4WD. I will try and get some more information asap! But trust me! :D

James, I said to them they should have least put the Sony CD player in them! They apparently couldn't get hold of one...I said just take one from the C-max or Mondeo. My personal opinion, I love it. Very well built. But hey my nickname is the "old man" lol :lol:

Well the test for all reasons, reliabilty is one big issue. Ford want a reliable engine that they know well hence why they have been testing both engines. Another reason for why they put the engines in these cars, is that they like to keep their rivals guessing etc

From what I hear they will make revisions to the Volvo engine and they are currently looking at around 220 -230BHP.

I agree, but there are people out there they don't really care. Some people don't even take test drives, which I find amazing. :?

The 8th Jan is the launch date of the new Focus. My dealership in Banstead showed me the Ghia model, they took all the covers off - just for me! :D
